Quicksand is one of those things I always wondered about but never remembered to look up... Exactly what is it? What makes it different from other sand or mud? Why don't we have it here in East TN? Does it really behave as portrayed in the cartoons & movies? Well, this news item plopped some information right in my lap & I thought some of you might find it interesting too. As for me, I'll look into it further-- it's more interesting

I love Christmas, too, but not the annual expansion of the commercialization process.
SD talkin' Welsh again?
Christmas decorations (arrgggghhhh!)
t's made of the hardest polycarbonate. Polycarb eyeglass lenses are tough in terms of impact, but they scratch easily & get pitted if cleaned with ammonia-containing cleaners like Windex. It's possible that there are better polymers now, I guess... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Tongu
#762 Cynder-Elluh It's hard to imagine that some of them were woodcuts-- like this one http://www.mcescher.com/Gallery/recogn-bmp/LW448.jpg I wondered what he oould have done with a computer, but maybe it's best that he didn't have access-- he might not have taken the time to develop other media. There's only so much time... All in all, it's a good thing I'm not God (she says as if it were an option) a **real
Hmmm, the title led me to believe this thread would be about eating mac-n-cheese while mooning the neighborhood through the lving room window-- not an easy feat, I imagine. As for SS, here's another way to think about it: The person posting should envision his daughter/her son as the person in the picture. How would you feel if you clicked the link & saw your child in that image? Would other viewers be looking or leering. Please get the g

#758 - Bash - I wish I could say I did it. Somebody made it in the style of MC Escher. think that's by design: detatched = not-autohiding or conversely: autohiding = docked-to-edge That logic led to my question-suggestion re. a Pause button. I tried Lantec's approach & clicked the Desktop, which worked, so the design must allow this option instead of adhering strictly to the defin
Or maybe more Walls people are Forum peeps & most Boots types don't even know this question is here
#723 LOL Bash, you can choose to start a thread, but the power to control it ends when you click Submit. You might as well try to herd kittens.
Nice, clean layout. Thanks for letting us know your'e up
it still comes out dark It's bright & crisp here (not too bright tho)
Have done detatch, but never got it to roll up again without opening Config Dock & clicking the Drawer option. Will try it again
Is there an OD docklet for tabbed docks that allows the user to 'pause' the dock with drawer open for a while? I envision a toggle that resumes autohide when clicked again. Alot of times, I want to use the shortcuts on a particular tab for a while without dealing with autohide. An alternative would be some way to have extra non-tabbed docks that could be turned on when wanted & off when not in use, but I don't know of any way to do it.<br/
What does you wife think of WC? Is she ready to jump in too?
You forget who you're dealing with... I can get just about anything screwed up
#208 WC is stretching you already #209 I beg your pardon ! I meant it more along the lines of the Wicket Picket
Usually a wall-not always. The exceptions are dark images. I like alot of them, but somehow I can't work well when I have them installed, even when using a lighter WB*. So I'm pretty happy when a dark wall I like is made into a boot. I do wish the color limitation was over. Maybe in Vista? *Weird I know-can't explain it.
Great avatar update, Wicked Nicked
getting ready to start the icons on this skin these are going to be tougher than the rest but there in there so i'll do them! BTW Nicked, you don't have to submit an IconPackage with a WindowBlind. Most people start with one type of item-- a wallpaper, a WB, a Rainlander... You're absolutely welcome
#46 I haven't run into this problem personally, but I suggest the use of protective gear when browsing so you won't mess up the PC when your head explodes.
