Downloads Not Working in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I downloaded a few events and things from the library at galciv.com and I haven't seen any of the events, or been able to build any of the ships or anything in my game. Do I have to start a new game for these to take effect? I did what the file's readme said to do, put the pcx file into the Gfx directory and put the .event file into the data directory. Did I do it wrong? I own the deluxe edition, do the things in the library here not work with altarian prophecy? I think I might have put them in

No it said that the planet's quality is increased 35, when I found it, it had a PQ of 45 or something.

PQ 50? in Strategies Stardock Forums

In the game I'm playing now, a pop up box came up in the beginning of one of my turns that said that the Yor stumbled on a precursor ship or something and the PQ rating for the planet was increased 35 points. I searched for the planet and then attacked them for it. The planet had a PQ of 43. After building some improvements and researching some techs, the planets PQ is at 50. Has anyone ever had a planet that was this high? How often does a pop up like that occur?

United Planets? in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Is there any way to force a meeting? It seems to take forever before we gather. Also, one time the people voted on who they whould make the united planets leader or something and they voted for me, can anyone explain what this is and if there are any benefits with having it. Few questions about the game in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Hello all. I'm contemplating buying the game, but first I'd like to know a few things. What is the military aspect of the game like? Is like the Civilization series where you can build as much of everything as you want and you move your units by spaces like a board game, or is it like Rise of Nations where you have a limit of units and your units can just move where ever during your turn? Is the game a turn based game, or is it a game where everyone moves at the same time? That's it for now. It
