1gig of fast memory, 2.5ghz proc and a 256 meg video card, these are the real minimums for this game That's totally incorrect. My machine operates at half of those specs (except for the processor, but the CPU speed is no longer as important as it once was), and it runs fine with maximum settings. <font size=1 color=#FF00

Obviously he doesn't read the forums that often. I've made many posts in these forums several requesting multiplayer functionality. Looks like some gamers are open minded and interested in other space type games and some are the opposite. It's funny to see some people judging a game even tho it hasn't even been released yet. Personally I first wait to see what t

I'd like VERY SIMPLE tactical battles in GalCiv 3. Anyone here play Sid Meier's Pirates (the new, Gamebryo version), and gotten into a land battle with a settlement, with your different units on one side, with the settlement units on another? I'd like GalCiv 3's battles to be like these, with your ships on one side and the enemy's on another, with things like space debris blocking the way. Larger ships could take up more than one tile (a tiny hull taking perhaps 1/4 tile, small and me

I like to take names from older computer games (My chief custom race is the Shikadi, from the Commander Keen series), from books (I have tweaked with creating a bugger race from Ender's Game), and from Greek and Roman names. As for the proper name (e.g. Terran Alliance, Drengin Empire), I like to use the following: - Federaton (neutral/good) - Dominion (evil) - Kingdom (neutral) - Serfdom (neutral/evil) - Sultanate (neutral) - Council (neutral/good)

I agree, especially since DVD players have been cheaper than new games for a long time. So why did you put GC2 on 2 CDs instead of 1 DVD? Because people who buy computers out of the box and did not get a DVD player couldn't play the game, whereas if you put them on CDs, your target audience springs up.

I think that when the AI puts a tech capital on a planet filled with factories, it's trying to reach equilibrium. As for the one AI planet with all the capitals and the trade good, I just guess it does some dumb stuff.

It's this kind of thinking that made me fall in love with Galactic Civilizations II and Stardock. Treating your customers right should come above stopping thieves. Focus on your positive, not the negative.

In correct English, Byram says that extras do not cost any extra production. The cool thing is that you can attach so many extras that a tiny hull can look like a huge hull, but it's still a tiny hull, and will be produced as such.

The game can only be gotten via SDC or on disc (by retail or direct order). SDC (Stardock Central) is the download client that you need to use to get a new copy of GalCiv II.

90% of the game is typos, so this is just one small thing. Yeah, the game scribes were on a rush job after a 4 hour red bull binge.

Also, the forum has many issues with firefox and is not working correctly with it. I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.4 and I have no issues (that is, I never open IE so I don't have anything to compare to, but still). What version are you running?
