Well, I've had an idea floating around in my head that I think would make it easier and fun for beginners to skin. What if in SKS, or even a separate app, for each GUI element you had a drop down list of pre-made graphics with the ability to control the hue, tranparency, contrast, etc. For example, you open up the brand new "Skin Wizard" utility that comes with SKS. An option comes up asking you "Chose the type of window boarders" Then of course 'Change color' and 'Change transparency' or maybe

What I meant is that I wish the preview was always accurate. For me it's a pain applying a skin every time a change something. I takes a while (at least on my system) and sometimes I have to go into the skin folder and manually delete or edit some code, because sometimes after apply a skin alot of times, SKS make new .uis files (for backup reason?) and the code is pointing to an older uis file, so the most recent changes are showing up. Sometimes I even have to restart my computer. I try to

As far as WYSIWYG, it would be nice for real time perfectly accurate previews but imo, it is best to apply after every single change anyway thus eliminating the need for WYSIWYG and letting you see the exact result within the skin. *sigh*

Anyway, I try really hard to leave constructive crits in my comments. Like "You should anti-alias those edges - there's a good tutorial for that here at http://xyz" instead of just beating them up for no reason. If people don't like having their work called 'icky' thats fine with me, but you can call my work whatever you like...as long as you leave some constructive criticism. Go ahead and shake me up every once in a while. I could use it! <img src="ht

Man vStyler, that looks SWEET! I can't wait. I've been working on a new WB it seems like forever. Redid the design 3 times already because I didn't like it, but when I have more of it done I might post a screen.

Wow, Xion looks totally cool. I've heard of it but never really checked it out, but man it looks fun and easy to skin. Being able to import a .psd - oh yeah!

Ever since DreamScene was released, I've been itching to make some sweet animated walls, but I don't have Vista...yet. I was wondering if you have to have DreamScene on Vista, to package and release them? And if so, maybe a little help with someone with Vista to help me package some animations? That would be helpful. Thanks.

1 - A button to clear the skin cash files (.wb4, BLOCK files). 2 - A button to browse the skin folder in Windows Explorer. 3 - A way to save the skin with it's sub-styles together (this could be a very useful feature). 4 - Better UI icons (32 bit ones) 5 - A way to export the skin code as XML or something like the actual "Generate Documentation" feature but with a HTML that works in Firefox and other browsers tha

I agree with just about everything that was said. But the thing I would love to see most is better preview options so exactly what you see is what you get! Also maybe a per-pixel and non-perpixel mode because there is tons of options for skin elements that only work with non-pp items or that just don't work at all. For example, some items with animation attributes don't really animate. Checkbox and radiobutton glow don't work. And that's just a few... Oh, and content margins are so inaccu

Wow, I don't usually spend time around these forums, but I just couldn't help but comment on this one. I agree with vStyler. The community is better off with guys around like NT and brainy. Craig, you're awsome! You're one of the most helpful, and giving members around here. And Brainiac, you seem like a great guy. Get well. Kudos to you guys!

Now I can legally smoke, buy M-rated games, view porn, and get the death sentence.

IIS...crashing...restarting...oh my! I don't know what IIS is, but crashing regularly doesn't sound good. Is that normal? Anyway, I haven't had a loading problem for the last few days, but who knows when lag will strike again... It partly may have been the internet itself. Last weekend there was no internet at all where I live. Some big SNAFU happened at some local ATT/SBC communications tower, and that really sucked. Anyway, I just wanted to say I haven't had any problems recently

I seem to be having the same problems arcturus13 described. However, this doesn't happen every time I try to get to the forums, or brows different galleries, just every once in a while. I also use Firefox, and the home page always loads fine. Then I try to brows the forums or take a look at the WB gallery and WHAM!.... the lag hits like a sludge hammer. This happened to me this afternoon when I got home from school, but right now, every seems to load in a snap. For the most part, the new site se
