Looking for Widget in DesktopX WinCustomize Forums

Searched for hours and couldn't find what I need. I am looking for a widget that will allow me to place several desktop shortcuts into it, and have a small footprint on the desktop, which, when moused over (or clicked on I guess) drops down (like the start menu pops up), and shows me the icons I placed there. I want to replace five icons with one that reveals the five when activated. Anyone?

area behind Dock "bar" in Stardock Software Stardock Forums

When at my desktop, my dock (set to auto order) shows, but the band of wallpaper behind it goes black for the length of the screen. I have the dock on the right, but I tried on the bottom, and the same thing happened. If I maximize a window, no problem, the wiondow expands to the entire screen and is visible in the problem area. Running a Dell Inspiron 600m with a Mobolity Radeon 9000. Any ideas?
