I believe you should come up with a really great plot and then worry about graphics. I think a vast majority of games suck nowadays because they try to show off graphics. Graphics are good and all, but they won't keep you attached to the game like the gameplay or the plot. I still find myself playing Nintendo and Supernintendo. They were good (Super Nintendo moreso) because they focused on plots and gameplay. I've been searching for a Side-Scrolli

Yeah it was a good article. One thing I don't recall you mentioning is the inflated FPS War game. How many games on WW1,2,Vietnam,and others, can we have? Half-Life and it's mods/expansions/or whatever you wanna call them, pretty much cover all the great aspects of war games. I swear, the next Vietnam game I see...I'll shoot it.
