WB4 has not yet been released as such. what has been released is an alpha version of wb4 aka wb3.90 those who are using it have recieved it via the object desktop network component manager.
FYI WEREWOLF I have been in contact with a couple of people from Stardock and they are taking care of me. They contacted me rather quickly, but sadly it was my hotmail account which is purely for spam, but they did track down my real address and let me know they would be happy to fix it. I am going to go ahead and purchase ODNT as an upgrade to my WB3. Great people, great company. Hard to find these days. Thanks to all who have helped. <img src="http://images.
werewolf has helped me out more then once. He has the patience to answer what may seem to be stupid questions without being condesending. I really appreciate him being here.
Thank you werewolf. I was just preparing an email, and quoting the message board. Thank you for pointing out which email, I would have sent it to the wrong one. Thanks again, you've been great.
I appreciate your apologies, and don't blame you one bit. I will attempt to contact them and let them know what it is that I was intending to do. Perhaps they can apply the amount to the WB4 upgrade when it is available. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBro
SH!T!! I did just purchase the Wincustomize subscription, and I am poking around in all the corners and can't find a component manager. SH!T
Thanks Thornz. That really helps make up my mind.
I'm clear on it. I purchased WB3 as a seperate component. I didn't get the whole Object Desktop. And I do understand that there is a difference between those two and a Wincustomize subscription. Well, now I need to decide on the subscription to Wincustomize, or WB4. Judging by the pricing, Wincustomize subscription seems to be a good choice. Othere then WB updates and the skinbrowser, what else does the Wincustomize subscription get me?
Will WB4 be made available to those who have purchased WB3?
Thank you again werewolf. I have purchased WB, but not subscrbed to Wincustomize.
I read everyone saying the WB(alpha)4 is displaying in the "component manager as 3.90" My question is this, what and where do I find this component manager?
Balls! Any way the article is on the Guardian website and details US Gov plans to secure oil fields in the event of a war in Iraq. "http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,880437,00.html" If you click the link, then paste in the rest of what's there it should get you to it. Sorry about wasting time and space.
3rd and final try http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,880437,00.html
that got boogered try again.
Here's another interesting war 4 oil article. http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,880437,00.html
What can I say about PogS 3k? It's easier to bitch, and piss, and moan, then to do something about it. Some people, regardless of nationality, don't see a problem unless it's right on their doorstep.
Frogboy -> On point 2., I agree with you. Lifting the sanctions against Iraq would be the easiest route to get the oil we, and the world, needs. But again that goes to point 1. which no one has commented on or disputed and that is that Iraq has not lived up to it's end of the cease fire agreement of the first gulf war. If the sanctions are to be lifted, Iraq must fully comply and turn over it's prohibited weapons. Point 3. Israel is definately a more powerful, well armed and trained
Point 1. The purpose of the UN inspectors should not be to hunt down WMD. Their job is to verify the disarming of Iraq. The Iraqis should be laying the missiles, shells, enriched uranium at the feet of the weapons inspectors, and saying "here it is, go ahead and destroy it." Until such time as the UN is able to certify that all prohibited weapons have been removed from Iraq, they have not lived up to their end of the cease fire agreement that ended the Gulf War. This could and shoul
Thank you werewolf. Thank you for not flaming me and my stupidity.
First let me apologize for the stupid question. I'm sure many have asked it, but a quick peek at the headers doesn't seem to have my question. Ready? What is the desktop calendar I see in some screenshots, and where can I get it? Again, I apologize for being redundent & stupid, but I would appreciate the answer. pHrEaK
Instead of double clicking it you could try using the Load button inside of Logon Studio. I am using XP Home so I can neither confirm or deny whether this will work.
Well lets hope they find a way to make it possible. It would be really cool to have stuff moving around on there. CA
Does anyone know if it is possible to have an animated background for your logon screen? I know that you could have an animated BMP for a startup screen under Win9X, and I was wondering if this is supported with XP?
