Glad I don't really have to worry about this one. I was pretty set on not touching SupCom2 because of the Steam requirement (at least not legally), after trying the Demo, I can happily say that instead, I'm not going to bother with SupCom2 because I think it's crap, inferior in every way to SupCom1.

I figure most kids haven't done much PC video game playing prior to being at least 6-8, and even that's probably a little low. I don't know about you, but haven't e
Why is it useless?
Take a look at your Starbases (ones with Trade upgrades) on a star, they aren't actually generating any trade income, or at least say that they aren't.
5 and 8 for sure. Apparently Starbase trade is pointless on stars in the current version, it'd be great if the game actually told you that. And ugh, I hate having clicking the planet bar and having it lump my scouts in with the rest of the fleet, if I'm going and manually selecting them, it's almost always for something specific that I only need them for.
I've seen similar issues. One game, there were 7 AI's, 3 in my star system. At one point, one of those 3 was my ally, the other two had ceasefires with me. The two each had envoys on most of my planets, the ally had none. At one point, I quit the game and loaded it up again later, after which I did notice my ally moving envoys my way. I figure something got reset and the new start forced it to re-evaluate what it was doing.
After playing a little Star Trek Amada 2 this afternoon, I decided that some of the gameplay options it allows you to set would fit Sins rather nicely, so I figured I'd make a suggestion thread about it. 1. Adjust Firepower: Low/Normal/High A set modifier to all weaponry ingame, with low being for players looking for more time to micromanage fleets, use abilities, etc.., and high being the opposite, quick and brutal confrontations. <stro
Ummm...Cloaking? I don't know, nor care really. But if I had to suggest something, I'd like to see scouts able to vanish for a bit, undetectable and unassailable. Although I've been under the impression that cloaking such as that isn't actually possible, or else mines might not be as lame as they are. Seriously, what fun are mines that everyone can see? The damn things should be completely undetectable prior to a scout seeking them out. Watching a fleet plow through an unexpec
I agree that the main issue with Pirates now is the insane degree they scale up to (in power, not quantity). I just finished a game with 3 Unfairs, and for the first hour or two, the Pirates came in handy for keeping the AI's occupied (or for keeping me occupied, when I lost the bid). But late game, after I'd taken out one of the AI's, I was hitting a stalemate with the other two, and ended it by systematically spending 10k on Pirate attacks to destroy world after world. It was inexpe
Yeah I did update Diplomacy and notice they were toned down a bit, but were still a pain in the ass. Not to mention I hate how the other factions place bounty on me the SECOND the pirates head out, making it harder for me to tell if they're after me or not.
The little sword icon that shows up to the right of the player name on the bounty list is a clear indicator of who the Pirates are currently targeting. <p
Reminds me of the Space Empires series, just...better. (if done right)
lol, wish I could help. First time I had diplomatic victory on was in a 3 star game 70ish planets, and max players. Won through DipVic before I'd even left my starting star, never so much as touched anyone but the 3 other empires I started with. Happened fast, and without even trying to make it happen, was actually pretty annoyed because I wasn't done with that game yet, kind of the opposite of your problem :P
It makes sense to stop burning DVDs for the base game. If stores only have the shelf space (or will only give you the shelf space) for one title then it might as well be the Trinity pack.
That makes sense, but he seems to be referring to the online store.
@SpardaSon21 It doesn't really matter if he wants to call the Geth enemies or not, unless he wants to make a campaign as well, it's a moot point.
This is actually really starting to piss me off, not so much the damage increases, of fleets sizes the pirates have, but with the god damn range increases to the siege frigates. Why the hell can they outrange my fully upgraded starbase and turrets? And since the newer and stronger versions don't die so quick, and actually do some damage, and also bring some flak along for the ride, I'm finding that my planets simply can not fight off Pirate raids without bring a fleet in, what was the point o
David- Yes you can. You can make a character new character, load character from ME1, and take a charcter from ME2 ie you finish a game and want to play again. When you start a new playthrough it asks what you want to do I believe.
I knew that much, just wondering if your characters death at the end of a ME2 playthrough will prevent you doing it, not letting you playthrough ME2 again with the character in the same way it w
Suppose I'll throw this in here.. It's been made quite clear if you die at the end of Mass Effect 2, that save can not be loaded into Mass Effect 3. That's fine, but does anyone know if you can take that character and begin another playthrough on a harder difficulty?

I'd watch, but as much as I miss the show, I doubt bring it back is a good idea. What exists is excellent, anything new would likely never live up to expecations.
I'm not an expert on the subect, but I would say that there is not.

Thanks for the heads up, I was going to wait to order in time for the early release, now I've gone and preordered today ;)
Is the red head Felicia Day?
I can't actually confrim this, but I would assume a fresh download of Impulse will be of the most recent version. Download Link: http://www.impulsedriven.com/downloads/impulse_setup.exe If your only problem is updating Impulse itself, try that.
