Governor routing is poofed here on 1.05.068. Should I try the uninstall/reinstall? A real pain.. Worked fine in all the incarnations of 1.04 [Message Edited]
I get a crash whenever I go to the Governor screen and try to add something to the build queue. I'm using 1.05.068.
Thanks T-man, I submitted it successfully tonight. I do have Norton's firewall but it hasn't affected Metaverse before. I figure it's something my flakey ISP is doing..
My games stopped registering when I went to 1.04. Had one last night that wouldn't go through. The game I submitted was started on 1.03 and finished on 1.04
I needed to change my email address with Stardock. I kept getting a dialog saying my email or key was wrong and the email I entered wasn't sticky. What I did to fix this waas I used Norton's registry editor and found the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Stardock\Drengin.net\GalCiv" and changed my old email address there to the new email address and all is well now. The upshot is, SDC isn't saving the email to the registry.
Just a little UI thing. When you're playing "pure good" the display changes and the separator between the stacked ships box and the graphs box is about 1/4" too low and partially obscures the stacked ships box. ~SDC~
I thought that was what this board was for! Cheers! :) ~SDC~
I was thumbing through my debug.err file and noticed a lot of things "Not Found" Is there a way to check and or refresh the files? ~SDC~
Just a few notes from my first game in about 7 years. Sorry if this has been covered. Not sure if this is a bug: If you go to a planet's view screen (either from the end of turn display or by clicking on the status at the lower right) and click on "Details" you get a "Propoganda" Slider. Nowhere on the screen is displayed the morale which is needed to see if there's an effect. If you use the button at the bottom of the screen to get the planets, and select a planet, the morale is di
In my first game it crashed to desktop. I saved the .err file but I reloaded and it seems fine. There were no error messages at the end of the file but I can upload it if anyone is interested. ~SDC~
In diplomacy, a feature to offer tech/money or whatever to the opponent. i.e. "What will you give me for.." ~SDC~
Not sure if this has been covered but "foundry" is misspelled "foundary" ~SDC~
Must be random caca, I'm not getting anything on mine. ~SDC~
IMHO a limit of three per opponent would be neat. ~SDC~
I'm up for either a global autolaunch or a "default" for new colonies to either autolaunch or not. I like to not autolaunch when I'm building defender ships but all others I use it. I just tend to space out sometimes and forget to set it one way or the other. Maybe it can be "intelligent" and change based on the ship being built? ~SDC~
Thanks to Stardock for making this game available for the Wintel platform. I played GalCiv for several years in my OS/2 days and now I'm somewhat mollified for having switched from OS/2 to Win! ~SDC~
I did the same thing and was wondering what the keystroke for "Wait" is? ~SDC~
