I just tried the Vista2008 logon using Firefox to dl and it downloaded and installed automatically and works fine. My last resort would be to rename the Vista2008.logonxp file to Vista2008.zip, unzip it, and put the Vista2008 folder in the C:/Program Files/Wincustomize/Logon Studio folder, and then if it doesn't show up in the list with the other logon, go out with some friends or something. Hey, It's Friday Night, you shouldn't be messing on the computer anyway, you should be out havi

The original XP logon is C:/Windows/System32/logonui.exe. When you use Logon Studio, it uses the downloaded logons but they are named logonuiX.exe, and it leaves the original intact, and XP uses the logonuiX.exe file. When you press the "Restore default XP Logon" button, you should get a message that Logon Studio will close and the default will be restored. If that isn't happening, then some files may have been corrupted when you uninstalled LS the first time. I don't know how you uninstalled i

How did you try to load it? did you doubleclick the .logonxp file? Or was it a zip that you unzipped and put the folder in the Logon Studio folder? If you unzipped it, make sure the folder that you put in the LS folder only has bmps and the uifile and theme.ini inside. Sometimes there will be another logon folder inside the folder you put in the LS folder and it will show in the LS window but not apply. You need to take it out of the first folder and put it into the LS folder. Sounds c

Reinstall Logon Studio, click the "Restore default XP Logon" button, restart your computer to make sure everything works ok, and then uninstall Logon Studio. Logon Studio should not have anything to do with slowing down your system. I've made a ton of them, and have never had any kind of slow down problems...unless you count the few hundred times it locked up because I left out a comma when I was editing the uifile. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 ALI

I really don't have an answer, I'd like to find one though. It worked great for me while others were having the same problem as you. Then a couple of weeks ago it did exactly what you are describing...nothing changed, no new builds installed. A few days ago I tried again, and it worked! Go figure.

Did you make it with the Logon Studio editor? Does LS work with other logons? Line 534 doesn't refer to anything specific, so it's impossible to tell what might be the problem. Make sure all the images you added to the logon are .bmps and not .jpg or gif renamed to .bmp. If you want, you can email me the logon and I'll check it out for you and see what I can find. I have had it freeze on occasion on 1.3 and 1.5. It didn't seem to be something new to 1.5 on my system. It doesn't happen all the time, but every once in a while it will freeze for 30 secs to a minute and less frequently it will totally freeze and I have to stop the process in Task Manager and then restart it.

Set the top panel to "false", the wallpaper will fill it in. The bottom panel is 100 px by default, so crop 100 px off the bottom of the wall and use it for the bottom panel and the rest for the center panel.

You don't have to use the wallpaper changer in WB. You just have to pick a wall from it once, which is like setting it to NOT replace your wallpaper. Your wallpaper changer or changing it yourself from another folder or or a site on the web should work after that. I've always had the option turned off in WB, and it bugged me when I got the newest version and it was changing my walls. Once I used it to change walls once, it hasn't messed with me since no matter how I change walls.

Phoon, just pick a wall in the list and apply it. From then on, you can use what you want. The default is "Use Skin Wallpaper", the first box, and you need to change to something else to unset it.
