WOM..you're the one who mad a big deal out of this. There was no need at all for you to put your two cents in. Keep it to yourself. The thread went downhill with your input.

I don't create WB skins, but the way I create a compact, and it works fine with yours, is to open Skin Studio, create a substyle of the skin, name it (ClearXP compact) give it a prefix and click OK. Click on the "XP Taskbar" view, Click the User Pane in the window, and on the right click on "Size of the User pane" Below the window you can set how wide it is. Yours is 380, I reduced it to 250 and it works fine on mine. You can also click the Programs pane and set it's width too if needed bu
You CAN import a Visual Style with Skin Studio, just in case you didn't know and it's close enough for now.
Um...the link to the .rar file you put in maybe? On Rapidshare?
12 screenies and 14 bootskins will just bury it anyway...LOL
That's perfectly normal. When you click your user name, bmp 112 shows...or stays showing if you need to type in a password. But it won't show until you click on the user name.
WeatherBound, you need to apply the logon, hit your PrintScreen key on your keyboard..(at the top next to F12). That will copy it to your clipboard. Then open up your graphics program, paste it in, and save it as a .jpg. That's it!
Glad it worked!
Hi Tech Thief, That error refers to bmp 100, the image you are using for the center panel. Usually when this error occurs, it's because the person has used a .jpg or .gif and simply renamed it to .bmp. What you need to do is to open the original in your graphics program (Paint or whatever you use) and save it as a bmp. You can't just change the extension. Hope that helps.
It has to do with the words in the Theme.ini that are in Spanish. If you change them to english (falso to "False", Salir to "Shutdown" and verdando to "true" ) then you can open the logon in the edit window.
And EsposeEnmity, if you want, you can email me Email and I can show you where the settings are and anything else you might want to know.
Phoon, the shadow settings are in the uifile. If you made the changes first and saved it somewhere else, none of the other changes would be used when you put it back. The only real way is to completely finish the logon, then make the changes in the uifile. And don't open it again in the LS editor or the change will be undone. Stupid, but that's the way LS works. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle"
There is no source for every single line. And yes, the shadows can be disabled in the uifile, but if you continue working on the logon in the Logon Studio editor, it will put them back.
This bootskin Link is using Adni's Vista-1 wall Link No permission implied or included.
Fortunately that cursor isn't RPG's...probably somebody elses though. The quality of his rips is going down it appears, it's really a bad looking cursor.
It's great to see these issues being worked on and clarified. And I do think it's a very good step to be able to post rips on the boards. Not every single "suspect" thing need to be posted, but the blatant rips that a person knows for sure are rips should be posted for quick removal. And if you have a link to the skin that was ripped, that's always helpful to the mods to verify it. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 AL
They are stored in logonuiX.exe, not in a .dat file. Really!
And it's still there even after you uninstall LS and delete the folder.
logonuiX.exe IS the theme file. It's the logon made into an .exe by LS so Windows can use it.
logonuiX.exe is still being used because you didn't switch back to the dafault the second time, and it doesn't delete when you uninstall LS, it's still in the System32 folder. Changing back to the default still leaves the last Logon Studio file in the System32 folder but Windows doesn't use it anymore, it uses the default.
The file Logon Studio overwrites everytime you apply a new logon is C:/Windows/System32/logonuiX.exe.
Logon Studio changes the current logon in use in the Windows System32 folder and makes a backup of the default. Unless you're familiar with what you are doing (and I have to assume you aren't if you're asking), do as suggested by Daiwa and reinstall, set to default, apply it, and uninstall.
That is a pretty old build of WB 5 crazyheinz. Trial version or Paid?
Ok, thanks for "clearing" that up.
RippedWallsRUs.com would put the Ubisoft logo on a wall that wasn't Ubisoft's? A bit of a stretch I think...but I don't know how those sites work....could be.
