Maybe more time should be spent using the programs than researching and posting to forums and talking to people and reading heaps of things than worrying about how the program is activated. Do something creative with the programs like they were meant to be used and leave it at that. The rest of that stuff is all philosophical bulls***ing, a waste of time, and will accomplish nothing. Go ahead and say it might accomplish something if enough people say something, but that's as realistic as no wars

More than likely, the image you used for bitmap 100, the wallpaper, is not really a bitmap. Usually when this happens with a line 14 error, the wall is a .jpg or some other format that has had the extension changed to .bmp. If the file was some other extension, rename it back to what it was originally, open it in Paint or whatever graphics editor you use, and save it as bmp 100. That should take care of your problem. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmi
Simply put, deal with it or don't buy the products. They aren't going to change what they believe is right for their software, and if their business isn't falling off from requiring activation, that's the way it will be.
Goodbye....
I can spell Mazolla - oh wait - thats corn oil. It's Mazola....
Your title says login, but you are asking for a bootscreen, so I'm not sure what you need. Bootskins are 640x480 and would resize to your resolution, but a logon can be made in widescreen. Just wondering what exactly you are looking for.
This tutorial will show you how to create them WWW Link
Yeah, you seem to be using eAero's logons also, from what I've seen at DA. You should have asked before you started taking other peoples work.
Although I don't have a widescreen monitor, I've made a few with 1920x1200 walls and have been told they work great and have seen a couple of screenshots of them in use, so yes, Logon Studio does work with widescreen.
Object Edit is a bit limited. When I'm creating logons and need to work with multiple uifiles I have been using Notepad++. It's free, supports tabs and many other features. http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm
I usually use the "Install from disk" button and browse to the zip. It will install for me if it is a valid package. That seems to be the easiest if it doesn't self install.
Wow Lantec, you really think that might have something to do with it?
When and where did you buy it? That build is over 6 months old. If you have your serial number, download Stardock Central and get the latest build.
If the original 3 that come with Logon Studio work, then the problem is either with the logon you are downloading or what you are doing with it after you download it. When you download a logon, usually it will be a .logonxp file and you just doubleclick it and it will install and show up on the list in Logon Studio. Sometimes, the file will download as a .zip. If the person who created the logon says there is more than one logon included (such as different sizes), unzip the file and yo
I think the question is more "Why does a fairly minor update need to have all those WB skins included?" Could there be an option to just update the program itself?
It works good for Chinese Troll Logons also!
It is possible to convert them to logonui.exe files and use StyleXP to install them, but they don't always work, and the ones with the center panel "Splash" won't convert at all without recoding the uifile. For Chinese XP you are probably best off using StyleXP or Tune-Up Utilities which uses StyleXP to change logons and download logons that are made in that format. Deviant Art has a library for the logonui.exe type of logons http://browse.deviantart.com/skins/windows/xplogon/ as does ThemeXP(us
Look at the name on the titlebar in your pic...purepwnage.logonxp. Press the little yellow folder icon with the green arrow on it, and "purepwnage.logonxp" will appear in the window. Doubleclick it and the logon will install. The picture you have shows the files inside the .logonxp file. You can make a new folder named purepwnage and put all of those files inside of it, and then put the folder in C:/Program Files/Wincustomize/Logon Studio and that will work too...not the easy way to do things bu
I'm not sure what is happening on your system, but I just downloaded the JosephsArt WB and the compact substyles (Light and Dark) are compact on mine.
As I recall JJ can't use it because of the language problem. Some languages it works fine with, but I'm pretty sure Chinese isn't one of them.
You're welcome cycoced, and good luck with it..you're WB is really nice. I create logons and the occasional rainy..I don't have the patience to create a WB and there are plenty of good ones out there to use.
And make sure it is a 50x50 .jpg. Not a .bmp or .png or .gif.
If you mean you're Avatar, I had problems too. It said it was uploaded but nothing happened. A day later it changed. Keep trying and wait I suppose.
Point away my friend...legitimate posts about the negative hoping they would turn positive, and some have. Nothing wrong with that. Keeping quiet and just watching the problems doesn't make them go away.
