Snarky-ness ahead.............. Went to see the movie Gamer. I don't game but this movie rocked the house. Ok, it was an obvious Matrix/Gladiator rip-off, but so what? Why fix it if it ain't broke? hahaha. The music was good, the main character was hunky, and even the gamer was hot. (Which is exactly why guys go see this movie I'm sure.) <

No they didn't violate any journalistic "ethics." I saw the picture. Couldn't look away from it. As a mother I grieve with his family. As a journalist I want to the world to "see" the war as it really is, not sugar coated, so people can make-up their own minds. As t
I am so glad to read this. I had to go back and hide some of my posts for EXACTLY the same reasons. Thank you.
He was vetted and found to be exactly the type of person Obama takes "advice" from.
What we're seeing in our modern age is this congregating again only this time it's called globalization and it's going to, from a faith perspective, be detrimental to the masses. Only they have no idea what's about to happen.
That's the irony of it all if you think about it. Go forth and multiply in your fallen state. About globalization.
I live in a predominantly Republican suburb. When I arrived home yesterday I received a message saying the children in our schools will NOT be watching Obama on Tuesday. Instead, they are taping the speech and allowing any child who wishes to view it the opportunity to do so at a later date. I find it fairly creepy that we can't trust our own President with our children.
Hey KFC, just passin by but wanted to respond. I'm not surprised there is more violence, more hate, just MORE. Aside from the faith perspective there is a practical reason for it. There are more people today, and the population continues to grow. By sheer statistical analysis alone, the number of just about everything should be going up, up, u
Wow BFD...thanks for the recommends...I will add them to the long list I already have.....hahaha...and review as I read'm!

I'm sorry for your loss, and for her family.
AJ is Lucas right? LW told me he was Lucas before she left. Who cares... I'm with ya rightwinger....I don't mind Obama half as much now that I know other people are paying attention. For a while there I thought Obama-bots took over America and somehow I didn't get a pod . [e digicons]}:)[/e]
But the pluses far outnumber the minuses and the next trip to the library, probably tomorrow, will include at least two more of his stories. So thanks, T...good stuff.
I'm reading them in order now...just started with The Shaman Sings ...(my library has them all thank goodness). But I can already see after only about 10 pages how his writing evolved from 1994, to where I star
Here's a great piece (& video) on the character of the 'mobs' and the insulting dismissiveness of the traditional media and many of our elected representatives, from C-SPAN no less
Wow, I can't believe C-span let her speak.... You know I listened to OB Wan today....and you know what? He hasn't read the bill either!! ahahahahaha...he was directly contradicting some of the wording in
Want to go off-topic for just a second. Want to thank you for turning me on to Mr. Doss. I read "Dead Soul" and started "Stone Butterfly". I like the characters, and even though the the dialog is just a hair below too much, I love it. Since the stories take place practically in my back yard, that makes it fun, too.
Oh yeah! That makes my day BFD! I reall

I am addicted to this, I don't know what you call it...a web series? SNL might not be willing to do real Obama humor...but this cast takes paradody to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CU1QxIIb0JU
Right now I'm researching hydro-geological issues, specifically how to artificially re-charge aquifers in our nation using various engineering methods. The reason it applies to your topic is because in all the literature (geological, engineering, management, social sciences) written in the last three years..."global warming" references became "climate change." <span styl

The "reverend" is shown beating on the flag-guy, but now is suing flag-guy for a broken shoulder! That is just so UNION! Pick a fi
Don't worry, Tova. When this administration really wants our opinions, it will beat them out of us (to paraphrase a comment I read elsewhere today).
Now THAT would be FUN and honest . [e digicons]*_*[/e]
I'm reporting you to right now, Tova. You Nazi scumbag. Don't you understand that nationalized healthcare is what Americans need? Whether they want it or not? Rules, schmules - disagreement is to be slapped down and crushed the instant it appears.
I'm skeered. Though it probably won't do my career any good....(talking the public administration one, not the journalism one). [e digicons];P[/e] <span
