Actually it's your WinCustomize subscription that lasts until September, 2008. Your Object Desktop subscription is valid until November 2008, however. Are you not running WindowBlinds 6 or ThemeManager 2.50c? These are two release versions of applications newer than August. When on a dialup or otherwise low-speed connection, I would suggest (if you prefer not to order a CD) using the 'Download and Archive' feature of Stardock Central very liberally. This way, should you ever need to reinstall, you will not have to wait through the entire download again. True... when running them explicitly as widgets (by simply clicking on them) they wouldn't show. If you were to right click the system tray icon and choose the 'Import' option and instead load them this way, they would show up in the Object Navigator. The reasons I can imagine why objects/widgets/gadgets wouldn't be showing up are Coordinates off-screen (as Zubaz mentioned) Opacity set to a less-than-visible amount Visible attribute set to False As the problem you've mentioned does seem to be affected whether WB is loaded, that sounds like a clear concern of some kind of incompatibility. I've definitely run into the same problem in the past myself. The good thing is that if you do happen to give a skin a rating you're unhappy with, or perhaps judge a skin prematurely, you can still go back and give it the proper rating you feel it deserves. WB on Vista does in fact allow for customized toolbar icons-- for the skins that support them. Not custom animations at the moment though. The toolbar icons are just built into the skins rather than available as a choice through those sections you'll see on XP. As for whether the toolbar icon customizing section might find way into the ui for vista in the future, I am unsure. Perhaps when animations are supported too? -Mike [Stardock Support]

There aren't yet any plugins that support CPU temp monitoring yet (that I'm aware of). I did some looking around and there is a WMI object available. I made a simple text object intended to populate with CPU temp information, though I've unfortunately not had any luck getting any information from WMI yet. Sorry to hear about the problems. Hopefully they did not ruin your lawn! Could you post your WB System Info? Just open the WBConfig dialog and it's one of the main sections along the top.
