johncrow: Awesome! Glad to hear it works zone_max: IconX is unfortunately not yet compatible with Vista. The plan was to first work on and release the more popular applications for Vista. Once they're set, I assume the developers will move on to updating some of the other applications. Taking a look at the article here: <A href="https://www.wincustomize.com/%5Carticles

Before uninstalling the MyColors theme, I would suggest navigating to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\ThemeManager and copying out the .suite file. This can then be used by ThemeManager (from Object Desktop). It is the case that the MyColors themes are unfortunately not yet compatible with the fullversion (Object Desktop or standalone) WindowBlinds, IconPackager and ThemeManager. The developers are very aware of this and working on it, however.</P

Are you saying that the problem you're experiencing is based on the location/sizing of the app titlebar buttons and that when you click the minimize button, for example, it will actually close the window? -Mike [Stardock Support]

I haven't looked for adapters for any newer systems, but I know they do exist for many console controllers. I have two psx adapters and one of them has a N64 port as well. As far as using this to control your computer, I'd suggest using an application like JoyToKey, for example. -Mike [Stardock Support]

Though you may have found .exe files here, both Gadgets and widgets share this same extension. The only difference is, that with Widgets (while in DesktopX Builder mode), right click the system tray icon and then select 'Import'. Click on 'Browse' and you can then load in any (.exe) widgets. If you're unable to find something, I'll see if I can throw together an example for you (as time permits, of course <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Ew.gif" border=0 align=

We definitely would be interested in knowing what specifically you're looking to do. When it comes to Common Dialogs in DesktopX and choosing a particular folder , I haven't done too much, but I can recommend for choosing files, the 'UserAccounts.CommonDialog' object has proven useful. -Mike [Stardock Support]

Unfortunately after the trial period is up, you will be unable to use WindowBlinds beyond that point (unless you were to purchase it). -Mike [Stardock Support]

When Zubaz referenced spelling errors , he was not making an attack on your proficiency in English, rather that the registry keys both matched the path at which the skins were located. I don't see any account information under this email address. Could you submit an email to [email protected] and reference this thread? -Mike [Stardock Support]

When you install apps through Stardock Central, the activation (which utilizes your email address and serial number) should just automatically go through without prompting you. It's only when you install apps standalone, or Stardock Central's communication with the activation server fails for some reason that it will prompt you for that information. -Mike [Stardock Support]

If the right click menu is overriden and doesn't include an option to close and during exporting, it was chosen to have no availability in the system tray or task bar, it is possible for a gadget to have no method to close it. If nothing else, I would suggest just forcibly closing it through task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC). I would also be interested to know which gadget this is that you're running. -Mike [Stardock Support]

Are you sure it wasn't UNMOUNTABLE_ BOOT _VOLUME ? When working in PC repair, I ran into this problem a lot on XP. The fix that I used almost exclusively to resolve the problem was simple, though you do need a WindowsXP setup disk: Ensure the system is set to boot of CD before your 1st Hard drive (HDD-0) Boot off the setup disk Wait for all the drivers (that you won't use) to load Press R to enter Recovery Console

When Stardock Central logs into the servers, it connects to the customer database and pulls the information for all of the products you've purchased (so you do not need to remember the serial numbers yourself). That explains how the serial number got there, but I am at a loss to explain why . I have reported this to the web team. -Mike [Stardock Support]

It's good that you're asking this. Many of the premium themes are actually being updated right now, while some have already been updated and are just waiting packaging. -Mike [Stardock Support]
