This is easy to explain. Lets assume ship X costs 100bc. - On a given planet you have 10mp, so ship X will be ready in 10 turns, costing 10bc per turn. - Then you finish building the MC. - You now have 20mp, so your ship will be ready in 5 turns, costing 20bc per turn. Since the bonus also applies to social production, the same formula applies to those projects. The basic fact here is that you have to pay full price for e

As seen previously... but still cool
So far I have found no cheese. This is my only disspointment thus far. Not even a scrap of swiss The new ship components more than make up for the lack of swiss though. I am content!
What exactly is in the bonus pack? How can we audit our copy and decide if we have the correct additions, or not?
Hehe. Happy to help with word of mouth. I posted about the game when I was beta testing, keeping the lads in my clan updated and so forth. Couple of days ago I posted about release day and how the game finially shaped up. A couple of the boys re-ordered at the last minute to get the bonus gear too. Here's what one of em said: Cool game... definately has that "one more turn" factor. I just wanted to have a quick bash to check it out... now it
Boogie and Cari. The asymmetrical hardpoints have been around for a very long time, and effect quite a number of hulls from the pool, and quite a number of extras components; it's a widespread "problem". I've mentioned it several times during testing. Anybody who lovingly makes custom ship designs would _have_ to notice this at some stage. However. The OP is right: they're only _slightly_ out, and in the general scheme of things it would be
This is great example of "one of those posts." ROFL
No multiplayer is a game killer? What a load of utter bollocks.
Mmm. The difference between gamma and the betas is fantastic. A hell of a lot has been fixed and polished since those dark days back in Decemeber '05. In fact if it weren't for the frequent screenshot updates or journal entries I would say a fair few people would have trouble recognising some parts of the game when they get their shiney release version. The interface is the same, but she sure as hell is a different beast now. Biggest shock
That's cool, but the game is practically ready to roll. What you see is what you get (which is well balanced anyway).
Now, in this example, the dreadnaught had 40 hits and each of the fighters (4) 12 hits. Thus, 4 fighters can take out a capital ship???? Or at least insanely damage it???? Coincidentially this is pretty accurate to what can happen in RL. Capital ships absolutely need protection from smaller vessels, b
I don't think it does. The MC is a planet wide effect which basically doubles production; it doesn't actually contribute directly to production in the same way a factory does. A tile bonus effects only one improvement of a very specific type.
Thanks for the positive comments lads & ladies. The cool thing about the ship designer is that it doesn't really take all that long to physically put together a nice looking design. That ship there probably has about 20 or 30 components at most. Probably less. BTW a good tip for making streamlined ships is to hide ugly components inside the hull. I nearly always tuck the uglier engines, shields, etc away from sight. And remember to add detail, like com
Ship design... can it get ANY cooler?
Beta testing period finished over a month ago Release date is rather close though.
It's smooth. The journal entry related to optimisation is also pretty interesting.
Bottom. MooIII was at the bottom of my list of games to pick up. You'd have to say, really, objectively, that the people who designed that game were completely...
"This game" means your 1.5 month old beta version right? The latest gamma version is round like a fruitloop so don't worry.
There are a lot of captains around here. Arrrrrr ahoy mateys!
Luckily 0.81 isn't the release version
Well... I hope your AI doesn't escape, become self-aware, and build Galnet - an evil network of galaxy conquering computers who will enslave the human race, build space ships constructed from our remains, enslave the galaxy, and then... and then... something. Who knows eh? Just make sure if it does escape that it's not the Beginner level AI. There is only one thing worse than an evil AI on the loose: An evil AT (Artificial Tard). <img src="
Ummm. You can't just "do" a "basic" MP version of a game. You been reading Frogboy's posts about developing that functionality? About the effort and budget and return on investment and those kinda real and practical things that tend not to be thought about a lot? Anyway, as I said, sometimes it's the cheddar that makes a game, not the multiplayer.
I can understand the OP's point of view, and indeed anyone who maintains an impatient attitude. It's hard waiting for something you really want. But that's life you know. Things have been done this way for good and practical reasons. I'm not exactly sure how fair fares in this story. Oh, the cheeese!
OMG No cheese... I can't believe this game doesn't have any rare or pedigree cheeses in it. I thought it did, but after beta testing I haven't found any. Not even a single reference to Biere. I'm so Old Gold Bitter now.
Don't you like seeing the multiple new weapons effects in the battle viewer?
