HOMEPAGE for me is , of course,Desktop Sidebar . . . ~ Very closely followed by Wincustomise , MaxStyles ,Winmodify ~ I have issues with DA ... so , after I got blasted by a coupla' Trojans a while back , I don't bother .... also (present company accepted) it always appears to be full of bucketmouths and bad attitudes .. and rip merchants (must be getting old ... X-( )
..Well that seemed to work ... I now get the classic windows dialogue onscreen when I click shutdown , and , as Cavan1 has just said , .. I would not have known this .. I just clicked OK on the dialogue box without entering a password after the restart and everything appears to be ok ... I hope that makes sense ... OK ... next question ... ( ! ) How do I stop [U]that[/U] appearing altogether ... ? If it's not possible I can live with it ... Ok .. 4.45 am gmt her
Hi Zubaz .. thanks for popping in ... Right then ... I have turned the welcome screen off AND disabled the fast user switching ...and clicked 'apply options' .. I will now try a restart ... see what happens .. brb!!
I wonder if there is a cure to my 'little' problem ... When I first got OD I used Logons, as the computer was, at the time , shared ... However , for the past coupla' years only I have been using it ... Therefore logons were not needed .. I believe I disabled them ( so long ago , I cannot remember now, or even how .. ) ... and ever since then the logon screen still appeared but with the Logon text gone ... and this is the way it has been ever since ..

AND HERE is the second screenshot .. this time, Sidebar [B]on the Right[/B] ~ Clock Panel closed ..digiclock panel open [B]NEWS PANEL[/B] ... I put the plain zoomer in for the background of this, I think it looks damn good ! Further down you can see The Closed Panel Hover ..Green on Wood .. In the little popup window you see a grab from the news panel .. and below that you see the [B]NEWS ALERT POPUP[/B] ... which is a grab from Tims rainy ... it match
Lantec ... Love the Right Clicks !! They look all RIGHT !!! hehe Right( ! ! ) then .. this is the first of 2 screenies ... What you see is A Rocket Dock and , of course the [B]STUMPY SIDEBAR[/B] in it's Standard setup ... and the Weather panel ... Note the Rough Wood 'zoomer' at the bottom in the 'empty ' background ... I have set this 'Sit' behind the main panels ...It makes for a nice Hover effect .. Stumpy Clockface ... Captions Detail : OPE
