HEY HEY HEY !! Great minds think alike ... hehehe :LOL: Yup .. that is not a problem , what you have to remember is that the captions have only 4 settings in the DS skin editor , [B]OPEN,OPEN HOVER : CLOSED , CLOSED HOVER[/B] ... so of course I can do this , However what I would suggest to you is this ... I can have a go at varying the sidebar captions for each sidebar so that , for example : [B]EXPERIMENT 1[/B] Emerald Sidebar ... Green and gold cap

Right then .. Time flies when you are having fun, as they say ... This is what I have so far .. This is [B]The Order of the Black Dragon Desktop Sidebar ...[/B]Again , as before, a WIP! I made this up by using the taskbar and startbar pngs and bits and pieces that Po' sent me .. As you can see, I have incorporated a nice hover effect when you mouse over a [U]Closed Panel[/U] ... I have to admit that the Gold Captions look well with the Dragon Clock , for sure !!!<b

Po' : I am not quite sure exactly what you mean there ,bud ... ... as a matter of fact I have just noticed myself , the Green Captions will be going onto the Emerald Sidebar ... AS IN POST 375 ... ... And what you see ..in post 378 is the Black Dragon clock in the emerald sidebar ..DOHHHHHHHH !!! This is because this evening I am working on the Black Dragon Sidebar , are you with me ... and I have not quite got around to fixing the captions up yet ... Let me see what

2 of 3 : hehe Certainly can : On DS we call the horizontal bars Captions ... they are made up using png and jpeg images, Usually they are all pretty well the same size .. However DS has the ability to change pics (Captions etc;) on hover /pressed/normal states .... This allows DS Skinners to 'add' a little movement to the Sidebar , as all the panels can be open/closed when ever you want ... Its a really great little app ,and a LOT more friendlier to use then the Vista o

I Kinda agree with both of you ..hehe .. Right .. I have taken out the emerald background and gone back to the black one ... Ok yet another progress report ... This time its the [B]EMERALD FLAME SIDEBAR[/B] : Thanks due to PO' for getting his bits and pieces to me .. I have used the start panel pole png for the OPEN PANEL captions ,and a snatch of the frame of the matching logon for the CLOSED PANEL captions .. I have also done a border with the same ... The clocks have been 'magic pinked' (DS does not support transparency yet ..) so that they also show the new background that Po' sent ,

This time I have put the Order of the Black Dragon Sheild into a Clock panel ... while still using the Order of the Emerald Clock... and I have also made the captions a bit wider ... I have yet to start editing the captions and backgrounds , but it still, at this juncture , looks quite good .... here ya go .. . 2 of 3 : It's only my opinion ,of course .. but I think the logons really don't need anything at the top - your ' header ' , if you know what I mean ..I think it may just be a little too much , and will detract from the 'clean ' look of the original logons you did ..maybe I'm getting to old ,eh ...
