Tell her to leave it running. A computer in itself, cannot start a house fire. Odds are it's not the start button. A likelier culprit is the plug connection on the front panel in the lower right side of MB.

Enermax's Warranty is 5 years and while it's 'failure' is unlikely, it's certainly not impossible. What your describing is a CPU overheat. (not sure what you mean by "...failed to start"). Boot into bios and see what the temp/fan reads after 5 minutes. If it shuts down, raises beyond 50c or your fan rate is erratic, put in a new fan and/or re-paste the processor.

If you think you don't have 'something' than ..... well..... I guess you don't have 'something'. I am getting a bit old and dim-witted, but perhaps you could explain to me why only you have this? (at the very least, share the sand so I can get my head in)

Don't think for a moment you don't have ' something' .... Start > Search > type: C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts On prompt, open the HOSTS file in Notepad Delete all the lines of IP addresses in the text document except for "127.0.0.1 localhost". Note: It may show: # 1
