OK tried that and it made no difference. I also noticed when I loaded a DesktopX theme , it produced the same sluggish effect . I dont know if its machine specific , or if its down to some other app running on my machine at the same time . But its annoying when something takes 4 seconds longer to open , especially when your using it all day long .

Do you have any Docklets running? Some docklets will cause this. Remove them one at a time, until you've found the culprit. Hi, yeah I have whatever comes as standard, Clock, Weather, Calender, Web Search and Simple Animation docklet. I will try removing them and see if it makes a difference. thanks

Well thanks for the er, film tips. I think I know what is doing it tho, ObjectDock seems to be making some applications sluggish. For example when ObjectDock is running and I am using PhotoShop , opening a toolbar window in Photoshop takes 3-4 seconds. With ObjectDock closed , it takes about 1 second to open the same toolbar window . If anyone knows why this is happening , let me know please. thanks Martin

CursorXP, Iconmanager etc. Not that many, about 7 or 8 of the available programs. I uninstalled everything via ADD/REMOVE programs . Hi I purchased Stardock last night , as I was intersted in some of its applications . Anywho , after installing and downloading the various mods, I tried applying a few different themes but I recieved various error messages and prompts to load extra software etc. I spent about 2 hrs mucking about with it and eventualyl managed to get a theme applied using the Theme Manager. I was working away as usual and i noticed, my PC was a bit slower or more sluggish than before.
