What about we don't give it unlimited range but do give it basic firepower. It did have an attack value in Gal Civ 1. When you get a anomaly bonus for weapons or what not, does diddly squat for your flagship. Hope this gets changed.

Also want to ask does size make a difference? Small vs Tiny. Large vs Huge ?
Well.. wont Evil get a bonus for trading with their Evil buddies? I don't see that as a solution. I am asking for events OPPOSITE the way they are now and/or favors neutral and good/evil get nada. It's not always about money, sometimes its bonus to production, morale, PQ. And the Good guy gets shafted. Anyone else agree w/ the events?
Yes. I am still under opinion that influence victory is the easiest. Make Shopping Malls, not War ! I think it should be a whole heck of a lot harder than it is now to win. Like having to research nearly all the techs that give influence bonus or starbase mods. Also, having to employ several of them to win [ fully upgraded starbases ]. Also, there should be a need for a player to defend them. Any human player would see the galaxy slipping into that person's control. The AI should be
also you can try shelling out the several thousand BC and buying it. That's actually doable now. I agree with the earlier model factory idea and then upgrading it.
Heh. I can't remember the # of posts I saw in Moo3 threads saying buy Gal Civ its a lot better than this trash [Moo3]. It's wasn't MOO nor did I consider it "Civilization in Space" despite the name. It is what it is. A kickass game. I like most expected MoO3 to be 'more of the same' with new races, techs, and graphics of course. MoO3 was hard to love, even for people wanting to give it a shot. Gal Civ 2, I'll jump on a limb for this, will come together nicely.. gamers and fans will
Is re-doing the moral choices on events a possibilty ? From my view, it looks like good is always screwed over somehow whether its shelling out BC, losing production, morale, pq, etc.. I think there should be some kind of balance. For every event that would offer Evil a bonus there should be one for Neutral and Good. Also seems like Neutral = not getting reamed as bad as good but still getting shafted.
So uh, what's the point of capital ships then ?? If you can crank out these uber fighters ?
I don't know how to make a comparison, I love Civ 4 *AND* I love Gal Civ 2 The AI are very good in both games.
I've been playing several games now with the latest release of the beta. A number of concerns irk me. The recent change PQ to 5 - 10 from what it was. Thalans have a size 17 planet at the beginning of the game ?!? pls tell me theres some kind of bug there. Largest planet I've owned was a 12 ( I colonized a pq 9 and thru event I chose evil choice and took the 39% PQ ) What wouldn't anyone do for a few more tiles, eh? Since the change, I've noticed one thing. Planetary improv
Bump. Please. Pretty please with sugar on top.
Well.. to be honest I agree that seeing females would be good. (jokes about alien races aside) I think if its not doable by Stardock, the game is moddable enough to either do it yourself with a custom race or have someone else do it. I know that's not the point you are making. But we'll just be hopeful that females do find their way into GC2.
I have one question when you look at the details of a planet... theres a place that says affected by starbases. So far I've not been able to get 1 colony be affected by any. Am I doing something wrong or is this not in the game yet ?
Space sharks and dragons remind me of MOO & MOO 2. I think its time for an evolution. Maybe some Warp-drive Wombats or Black Hole Hydras. I know the Borg is likely trademarked and copyrighted, still you could have a super sentient type of monster hell bent on assimilating the universe. How about an ancient deity comes back and unleashes its wrath ? I think we can put heads together and come up with
I agree, it'd be nice to see females in scenes alongside male counter-parts. I'd also like to see a matriarchal society with a female leader (maybe in an expansion )
I was wondering about the whole issue. When it comes to techs, at the start of the game.. the survey ship is a pure gift. It's going to be a while before you can make another. I hope it is given some basic wpn level and defenses. Seriously whats the point of uncovering an anomaly that says "blah blah you discovered something that will enhance your ship weapons 1 pt " and it does nothing ?
