but as with most charities they keep up to 90% of donations to run operations. I developed a rather cynical view of charities for a number of reasons that I won't get into here.
90%? That seems like a heck of alot. I try to give mainly to those organizations that are associated with the ECFA. Because there are so many hands out there trying to separate us from our money it's wise to really know who you are giving to and how accountable they are w
KFC Kickin For Christ
thanks for the update Lula.
oh...lots I could say here, but no time. Getting ready to head out the door. I'm turning 50 in just a matter of days and I'm fighting it tooth and nail. I feel like I have the body of a 30 year old and intend to keep it that way as long as possible. I ran a race recently and took great satisfaction in beating the 20-somethings and the 30 somethings not to mention all the 40-49 age category. I may be a grandmother but I don't intend on looking like on

not much to add to the heartfelt sentiments already expressed here. I concur with all of you. I pray peace and comfort for his family who feel left behind at the passing of their loved one. Moderateman will be missed by them and by all of us. [e digicons]:'([/e]
A heartbreaking day. First I hear of Moderateman's death, now Udigit, and now your breast cancer.
oh, so very sad to hear this news. :( I was thinking about him not too long ago wondering where he went to. Another sad day for JU. I pray everyone else here stays healthy and strong. Tonya, hoping to see you soon if you feel up to it. Be there very shortly. Looks like we may have babysitting duties while mommy an
I too was exhilarated by his win. I'm thinking he's going to be great for Florida and for the nation.
Did you get to meet him? I had a very nice picture taken of me and him in the paper. He was so easy to talk to giving me plenty of time for our conversation. I hope he makes it to President. If so, I've got his poster with his signature on it. :)
btw, KFC, Did you see that Maine elected LePage, a pro-life Republican gov
I have to get the cart turned back rightside up, fix the wheel with scraped and bleeding knuckles, dodge the other cart's biting stallions and sharp hooves, navigate the slick mud when the rain starts, and (if God is with me) be CONTENT doing so.
It's not about doing your share or carrying your load for you. Here's another that might help...maybe you know it? A BEND IN THE ROAD Sometimes we come to life's crossroads, and view what we think is the end, But God has a much wider vision, <s
SF, eh? Trying to educate the useless?
ya, no kidding. The land of the fruit and nuts! All that is except for my son...he's doing his Post Doc at the University of Central SF. On the plane home the college kid seated next to us said he has a friend with a small one bedroom apt right in the city for $3200 a month!!! My son lives about an hour and a quarter outside of SF and pays $650 for a small one bedroom apt. That's considere
that'll teach you to vacate the premises during an election... LOL. Actually we were in SF during the election..actually spent the day in the airport or plane as we were traveling home . So I missed most of the pre-election coverage the few days before and didn't see much until we returned home at 8 pm election night. Just in time to see that Marco Rubio had 51% of the votes at that time. That sure made for a great welcome home.
it is beyond disconcerting when the Oncologist walks in, looks at the lab paperwork, then hugs your neck
what was that all about?
You should have spoken spanish to them I'm sure that would have helped.
hey, that's an idea :)
The good news tho Charles is MARCO WON!!! You have to be excited about that. Great news for our state!! I was fortunate enough not only to meet him and speak with him for a few moments but the Newspaper posted a great picture of me and Marco the next day. A keeper for sure especially if he makes it all the way to President like they're saying he might.
I'll be on the plane tomorrow praying for you. I think the odds are you're going to have a heck of alot to write about in the coming months. There should be no such thing as writer's block in your case. (((((((((((((T))))))))))))))))))) ((((((((((((((((T's Family))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I don't think I'm allergic at least now. The swelling has gone down. It feels a bit weird, like something in recovery but it should be ok by tomorrow. Someone at my husbands's work said she had a hornet sting her on her hand and her whole hand blew up including all her fingers. She immediately took off her rings because she could see what was about to happen. These hornets carry some pretty potent stuff. This hornet, by the size
Two hours later and I still can't bend that thumb. The swelling has stopped increasing and with some ibprofen in me and a paste of baking soda on the affected area it's now bearable. I can still feel the stinging lasting effects every so often which is manifested by sharp pains in and around the area. I'll live! :)
I'll just cut to the chase and say..it hurt like hell. At least what I would think hell would feel like. And if this little thing caused me so much pain I can only imagine the pain and suffering in hell. I had no idea what happened at first. I looked over at my trash can and saw trash spilling over the top and thought I'd just push it down a bit. As soon as I put my hands near the t
Sorry, all this is blasphemy against Prophets of God!
you are the one that will stand before God answering the charge of blasphemy against HIS SON! God said himself before many witnessess "behold my son in whom I am well pleased." Nothing was done in secret unlike the religion of Muhammed was. Everything in the name of Christianity is done before two or more witnessess. All out in the open. You are the one saying Jesus, (GOD in the
Jesus was more like Adam than mose! you harm the memory of your Prophet by saying that he claimed to be greater than any one,
Really? And where's your proof? Here's mine: Jesus said himself: " I AM the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE. No man comes to the Father, but by me." John 14:6 I'd say that he's quite clear here saying he's greater than any other wouldn't you? Notice he didn't say
Jesus never said that he was greater than any Prophet, he is modest enough not to utter this! really sad! all Prophets of GOD have to be respected !
' Yes, he did. Read John 8:58 for one thing. Read the whole book of John for another. Lula is quite correct in her responses here. There is absolutely no references to Muhummad anywhere in the Hebrew scriptures. In the Holy Scriptures there were three significant offices held by
I voted today. We have early voting for two weeks so I took advantage of it. We waited in line for about a half hour. It's been reported that the polls here have been pretty constant. I really hope Marco Rubio gets in and Crist goes home.
Not really. I was just pissed off at a religious jerk who ruined what was an otherwise enjoyable evening.
then why did you delete it?
Does this have something to do with Mason's blog? If so, I missed it. Anyhow, gotta say, T..you hit it head on and it's very accurate. I think it all comes down to there is always a great division over the name of Christ that has been going on since he walked the earth. In the book of John (which I'm teaching) there's at least 4 times when it says there was a great division over him not including the heated debates HE caused by just doing
