There's a radio station here in Utah that every other Wednesday has a feature called "Things That Must Go". It's a list of things that their listeners send in to gripe about, and they read them on the air. This morning, as I was studying (read: trying in vain to study) for today's final, I listened to their list, and was inspired. So here goes, my list of THINGS T

Oh man . . . too bad we live so far apart, my dear . . . you just described me to a "t"! (Unlike MM, I can play the guitar and I do have a very rewarding job.) Hope you can find someone who is as cool as me but lives a bit closer!

Hmm, I dunno, but I don't think you can say 'great' and 'synth-rock' in the same sentence That almost makes me want to cry, maso . . . of course it's possible.

I know what you mean San C. I've always had points that were divisible by 5, but in the past few days the last number became a 2...and I have no idea how that came to be. I don't think I've said anything particularly insightful, and I know I'm not a troll, or at least, I try hard not to be! I seriously doubt that you were trollin

Thanks for the article, terpfan. I agree with you - I've noticed that cable companies really don't get much competition, and what little they do, they find a way to stiffle it. Here in Utah, the only - I repeat, only - way to get a decently fast cable modem is through comcast. It's comcast or DSL, which is decidedly slower. It really bothers me - because they have no competition, they charge the ungodly price of almost fifty bucks a month for ju

Great read, Maso. I agree with what you've written here, and I fall under your definition of "seditious" too. Oh well . . . Too fast the world of free speech, open communication and shared thought is being taken and raped right out from underneath us. Not a pleasant (or enjoyable) thought.

Ugh. That sucks. Sorry you have to see things like that - I can imagine that it's really tough. Just think - once you're in practice, you won't probably see as many life-and-death situations, just lots of kidneys. Trees win because they're cooler than cars, by the way. Mother Nature will always whoop ass on anything we build.

CONGRATUMALATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or congratulations if you prefer without the added syllables, but I think it makes it all the more forceful. You're a stud, bro. You've stuck to your dream, and come two weeks, you'll take the Hippocratic (sp?) oath and you can start writing "Dr. Peter Jones" on things, and your checks at your

Ooh hon, he thinks you're a cutie . . . Although, I must admit, I agree with him wholeheartedly. You do have a lot of fun articles. But - you're gorgeous, too, my friend. No wonder he's scamming on ya.

this is random, but i think you are a neat girl. i read some of you articles because i was bored and noticed that you have interesting insight on a lot of stuff and you also seem really smart. you probably dont give two dead flies about what a random person thinks, but i just felt like saying it... Ooh

Oh, and points suck. I refuse to be a points whore. But the reason I paid attention was because (before I figured out how to have e-mails sent to me to tell me that I've been replied on) I used my score to see if I had received comments or not. Now, however, I don't see that or care, but it was just i

While you get 5 points for a registered user comment, you only get one for an anonymous comment, so that could be it. Maybe no one has trolled you, just gotten some anonymous comments. Ah . . . now I may have had even a bigger points epiphany. I think that may be it. You, Doc, are a genius. <img src

I've never had the problem of people singing and shouting at four in the morning, but when I lived in Los Lunas, New Mexico, we had a cat that would always come screeching around about two in the morning. We had a neighbor we were really good friends with, James. He had recently purchased a soft air gun and decided to put it to use one night, from the window of our apartment. I've never heard anything yelp so loud. I felt really bad, but Jame

for quite a while now, I've been trying to figure out why my score was two points off of the usual fives and tens. I'm always ###3 or ###8. For weeks, every time I looked at my score, I tried to understand how I somehow seemed to have lost two points along the way. Then, this evening, it finally hit me! Some time I must have made some comment that someone

I always had a crush on Giles. Everyone liked Angel, but I was all, no way. Giles is the shit. Yes, Amanda, Giles most definitely is. He was always my hero - when I'm a professor, I'm gonna dress in tweed too, just to try to emulate his coolness. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smiles/Cool.gif

Well . . . hell's bells and an extra value meal, suddenly it's all so clear!!!!!!!! Please tell me this was never actually put on the air.

I agree with you, Gid. While I do consider it important to preserve the environment, let's be honest - you shouldn't mess with anyone's property rights. You want to save it, go offer them some money for it. Let's do this the legal way, people. On another note, I intend not to see the movie simply because it looks absolutely insipid.

Very fascinating read, Dev. I can only imagine what it's like to be around death all the time. I'd imagine it would be a life-chaning experience, man. But I must admit, when I saw that you were the one who had written this article, I was expecting something about Opeth
