Well hold on, they don't, not even for Classic subscribers. This never did, at least for as long as I'm aware.
You have clearly misunderstood. At no time did I say Support and updates continued after the end of a subscription...I said the programes remained totally functional and did not expire. The section you quoted is my statement that it is untenable to continue support without payment when the
I am still failing to adequately explain how OD renewals will work. However, I am running out of ways I can think of to explain it. I am open to any and all ideas.
The Original [now called 'Classic'] Object Desktop Subscription service was offered to Customers with the promise/undertaking that during the period of active subscription [being paid for] all included products and all updates would be availa

Are you having to do a lot of post work, or are they just this good from the AI software?
Really good looking girl...but IA really hasn't a clue about perspective. Architecture is still safe [though Autodesk's Revit can generate perspective correctly]...;)

A permanent [lifetime] license to Fences 5 gives you exactly that...a permanent license to Fences 5. It does not expire...not until you do. A Subscription license to Fences 5 gives you Fences 5 ...and if you keep subscribing it will give you Fences 6....Fences 7 ad nauseum ....until you cease subscribing. A subscription is regarded as a LIVE purchase...you keep paying...you keep getting. If or when you cease the subscription the product ceases to function...in th
There is an option to buy a permanent license on the nag screen on my laptop. I'm struggling to see any reason, when the current version does everything I need though. What is in the new version that actually makes it worth paying for, (again)?
Actually, as with all software...if it's perfectly acceptable in the version you have then there is no need to purchase a new version, whether stand-alone O

I'm so glad that [so far] AI is still soulless. Good to see robotics still has no humanity ...;) Mostly there is confusion with light-sources and fudged perspective as if the AI clearly doesn't understand the 3D composition of what it's trying to imitate. Amalgamating existing images into a logical conclusion/average cannot work. Anyone who can read perspective...and generate the 'mathematics' [as Architects were traditionally taught] can see the failings

Real [original] OS Customizing simply had an entire replacement of the OS Shell [there were many] and Explorer.exe simply was never loaded at all. There was no reverse engineering of anything....you just had someone like LoneRunnr code Litestep from 'scratch' and configure it to be a text-edit for anyone to design their own interfaces. Stardock's software was designed specifically to work with Microsoft's Shell and was entirely legitimate being formal 'Partners' with MS.
One other thing off topic the purchase price in my opinion should be for life, not just a year.
Object Desktop is Stardock's Subscription Service to their software. It is not a one-off purchase by definition. The current [new] process is that your on-going subscription enables access to all the listed programs and any others that may evolve/change within that subscription time. In the same manner
