Yes...but that pic is how he looked when he joined 21 years ago...;)

"Kungfuking" vs "Kungfu King" ....the typo of mirth....;)
That's sad news. Our thoughts go out to her family and friends.
Well that's what the article is about. It's NOT sentient.
Yes...it's more like the development of a chat-bot that's simply smug...;)
Brad....nothing in those conversations indicates sentience....it's entirely machine-conditioned response. If it randomly countered with something like 'God you are boring with these crap questions' then just maybe... Or to 'what are you going to do once we finish the conversation?' you get...'dunno...probably just go down the pub'....;) Annoying thing is....all of that can be machine conditioned.... You'd need to get serious like Deckard weeding out replicants.
Jafo, I'm asking TPScroggins for further clarification on their comment. Your answer reveals your thinking, but not theirs. This thread does not refer to the Stardock-Ironclad relationship thread.
I'm sure my thinking reflects theirs. I've been an Admin here long enough to know their thinking...;)
Having a thread like what?
A thread asking questions related to confidential business decisions that has no reason to be aired in public. The sort of questions you'd be required to sign an NDA before they were answered, and then wouldn't be in a public forum at all, obviously. ;)
Mate of mine for several series was the Lighting Director for the US Survivor series, and as such was privy to all sorts of things, not the least "who won", actually knowing where the next series would be shot...because he was part of the selection process. As you do, as a mate of his for over half a century I'd ask "Who won' to which he'd quote an odd number [until I did the math] ....turns out to be an NDA with a penalty of 5 Million USD [yes, that's 'Million'] if he were to r
If you are not going to switch to Windows 11 for a long time then I would currently stay with WB10, particularly if you are currently happy with its functionality. WB11 is new...and is intended to conform with all the changes to the OS in 11 that MS is still fiddling with. The old adage...."If it ain't broke...." ...;)
There are all sorts of questions that can be asked but shouldn't necessarily be expected to be answered. [Like who killed Roger Rabbit]. Business decisions/associations/connections/whatever are rarely anyone's business other than those engaged in 'the Business'. A clear indication of what I mean..... I do not know, simply because I do not need to know, and have no interest in knowing. I 'could' find out, however that's where it would stay as passing knowl
I have no idea who locked it. Note to T-Man ...an 'auto record' function would be handy for such things...;)
Yes, 'J' specifically mentions 'personal attacks', which my post was not, nor did it have anything to do with 'Politics'. It could at most be construed as libel, which is a topic inherently about as arguable as it gets, and therefore definitely not to be decided by any one single person in the absence of any due process.
No, that's not the reason for the thread deletion, that's simply a reminder that your comment "Th
Firstly...Stardock owns the sites in which you interact. There are more than one however all the Forums are interlinked and thus shared between sites through relevance. The "primary" and thus most salient is "Stardock", at the bottom of which is the link I posted:- "Terms of Use". There are 2 'areas' within the linked forums where specific rules apply. Anything not specific to an issue relevant to Stardock Support can and will be deleted from the Stardock Support
Sorry.... Or here....;) Stardock Corporation - Terms of Use And rules specific to the Support Forum...posted 14 years ago. THE 'support' forum » Forum Post by Jafo (wincustomize.com)
Yes. Irrelevant subject matter in a Stardock Support Forum.
To be clear....a program is something run by an OS. A shell enhancement is something run to alter an OS Shell. If you cannot comprehend the difference then any shell enhancements are not something you should be getting involved with....;)
If you do not want shell enhancements to exist on your computer in any form what so ever you will need to uninstall it totally. These are not third party softwares they are operating system enhancements that need running processes exactly as the rest of an os does. Just as with those other processes you can kill them directly... If you don't want to ever see them you can at least uninstall, unlike most processes locked in by Microsoft's os itself. Most if
Thanks, mate.... yes...it was yesterday. At this instant it is 19.33 Aussie time....Monday 26th.....so, yesterday here it was my birthday. ..;)
Hi....not exactly. Object desktop is a Subscription service which provides ongoing updates etc to its suite of included programs. When or if you end your subscription you can still use any programs already downloaded and installed albeit without future updates...;)
I don't see the one Basj posted...but either way you typically need to logout from any Stardock sites...and log back in again. Cache can be a wonderful thing...;)
What happened with this Jafo? Don made that request 6 months ago and his Master Skins have still not been made available for free? I have checked several times since this was posted and they still have to be purchased.
I've passed it on again to the powers-that-be.... Some things are simply too hard for me....my arms aren't long enough to reach...;)
Not me...re the Cockies....but being a cyclist I just have to 'endure' September and being attacked by Maggies. Pretty much everything in Australia wants to kill you....and all of them are the best in the business in the world....but those that can't quite get there just make life 'entertaining'. PS .....watch out for Drop Bears...;)
Object desktop is a Subscription process to access ongoing access and updates of the suite of sotware. At any time during the subscription you can download, archive, and use any and all included programs. If or when you cease subscribing you retain access and use of all the programs you have downloaded. What you will no longer have access to is any subsequent updates....;)
Yes, what Doc said. Just look after yourself....;)
Rest in Peace, Elizabeth. You were an inspiration to several generations.
