When you're in this build and under Settings tab at top, the Titlebar Settings choice dropdowns have corrupt white background. (Make sure the WB6 window is close to the top of your screen because if not, the menu dropdowns open upwards and this problem doesn't happen in that direction.) BTW, this is under Aero, WB6 is not even skinning.

zubaz is right. i should've checked the history first before updating. The program needs to do an OS version check prior to downloading and updateing. It's not hard to have such a check put in place. You see these kinds of checks all the times in software updates... IT'S NOT THAT HARD. Screw all this 2nd grade readme crud. Build INTELLIGENT software if you want to be associated with Microsoft or it's products.

Hey, it's not me missing all this stuff. I just point it out. Think of me like that anoying media person who keeps asking all the questions no one else wants to ask and loudly points out the faults in things. Why hide mistakes. Bring them to light and let the devs learn from them. It makes for a better product in the end run... although I keep waiting for that.

Anyone else notice that when WB6 skins the Start Menu in Vista the All Programs doesn't properly change to Back when expanded and the arrow doesn't change to point to the left. Hummm, is this an overlook or another "we have to have it do this for XP backwards compat"? Please elaborate. The skin makers blame WB6 for this in WB6. Who's right?

roll back to the previous build. tonight';s build is not for vista64. i made the same mistake Classic. SDC cannot differentiate between Vista32 or 64. How lame. Why let it update if it's for the wrong version? Where's the checks for this? Scarry.

It's not coming back from it, it's entering it, and only under Vista. XP doesn't seem to have this issue. Also, it's not something that happens every time, but something that's appeared since WB6 and wasn't happening with WB5.5 or no WB loaded.

It appears your disappointment will be longlasting if not permanent. Time to deal with it & move on. Kinda like the programmer's inability to get past this one little hurdle in the skinning process. What's funny is I remember the devs saying that once WB was made specifically for Vista because it would use the same skinning techniques that MS uses in Aero that the CMD prompt would be skinned again. I guess not. Lame!

JRSCCivic98: Why do you have a 5.0 and a 5.5 serial? If you purchased WB before 1st Feb 2007 then you would not get a free upgrade and having a WB 5.0 serial suggests you purchased WB a long time ago. Yeah, I rechecked and it was for 5.0. This thread threw me off for a sec because it made it seem like the upgrade was free regardless of date purchase. Anyhoo, I up'ed with 15. Now to just get the bugs worked out.....

Guess you must be on Vista. Don't let the title of the thread give it away. And I have no hibernate or suspend problems with Aero or WB5.5 skinning. Started just with WB6.

Anyone else running into the inability to enter Suspend or Hibernate about 90% of the time with WB6 skinning the system. I've been able to be trouble free with 10 consecutive Hibernates with Aero skinning, but when I switch to enable a WB6 skin (not skin dependant btw) it will fail on Hybernate (lockup). I did another 5 shutdowns and it failed 4 times of the 5. Disabling WB6 and it's back to normal.

Why is this such a serious shortcoming JRSCCivic98? Does it affect WB functionality or cause system problems? I bet it doesn't. Because it takes away a capability that Vista HAS natively. This is the one thing I was hoping 6 would have BACK in it.

^^^ I think it's a SERIOUS shortcoming. Especially for Vista users because Aero can skin it just fine. Bad move on your part with the decision to NOT find a solution to this. I may keep harping on it, but it's anoying to constantly find bugs and shortcoming on releases that you guys supposedly tested on countless systems before release. I will give you props on the release going smoothly through SDC for a change... the last few releases of something through SDC had a few hickups due to messe

When I requested the upgrade serial I didn't get anything either, so I just made the upgrade purchase. Bad part is I think I might have used my WB5.0 instead of my WB5.5 serial to ask for the upgrade to WB6. Did I needlessly pay 15 for something that should have been free?

I'd like my Vista Ultimate to show my CMD prompt skinned with WB6 loaded and skinning. Aero can do it, you'd think WB6 could. What's the excuse now guys? Last time under XP it was that the OS didn't natively do it and you removed it under 5.x because you wanted to do transparancy or some junk. One of you SD genius boys want to tell me why SDC states there's a version 1.02.027 available, but the full exe install download on the dream website isn't indicative of this same version? Which one is right? Why can't you guys get SDC's update listings to properly display things? Why is this so hard for you guys.... why?

SDC not showing an update is because SDC itself is not updated. Try updating SDC. Ummm yeah, SDC updates itself on startup if there's an update for it. Thanks for playing. It's not the first time SDC's software availability xmls were screwed on release day. Remember with WB 5.x came out? It got messed up then as well.
