Ease up folks....they may not be a paying customer, doesn't mean they are using pirated material. Could be using the trial software. Forums are meant to help people...just like you guys helped me...let's help this person.

@jazzy.... Comments are welcome. However, when you let me know that ported themes aren't giving you any probs, please give up some info on what you're system is using...then at least if it's comparable to mine, a simple setting adjustment just might fix the issue!
Almost all EULA's take into account only the installation on a single computer....not using multiple operating systems on that single computer. Whether you boot to 98, 2000, XP or 2003..it's all the same machine. You're fine.
Thanks for responding Neil, appreciated. No they don't. And, until I get some kind of feel as to why this occurs, I haven't tried porting any other msstyle themes just yet.
Ok people, there's got to be over a 100 years of theming experience out there to pull from...and from those who have used WB since the beginning!! And no one has any idea as to why WB would start a ported theme as a Windows Classic from system startup?
No takers huh?
It's a bug with the toolbar. You can either add a button, or hide the bar in your options. This is supposed to be fixed for the 1.8 release.
No problem. It happened to me no matter what version I was using, default theme,...or otherwise. Once I removed the initial Bookmark buttons, some themes would start jumping around. Which lead me to the conclusion that it may not be the theme, but how FF handles the Bookmark Toolbar. I'll see what the FF forums have to say about this.
Let me know if 'bumps' are inappropriate. Just curious to see if anyone can help. Thanks.
Ok, I uninstalled Panda Antivirus and this appears to have cleared up my issue with WindowBlinds. @Crash: Yes, Antivirus software will wreak havoc on almost any software installation. The reason is, is that the software is trying to protect any files on your system from being altered (which viruses do)..and will prevent a proper installation
Ok, I am not too keen on exacty how to port an msstyle to wba format, so basically stumbling around in SkinStudio, all I did was import the msstyle theme, then 'zip for distribution' which created the wba file. However, WB5 applies the file just fine....but, from a cold boot, WB5 won't apply the theme properly. It starts it as a Windows Classic style theme, color intact until I start WB and reapply the theme. (same colors the theme uses, just in Classic style) Did I d
After uninstalling programs, reboot, clean your registry of all entries related to the program. Reboot, then install the full program. Note: Not all reg cleaners, including some of the best like RegSeeker, get all the entries...do a search for the software...but be careful as to what you find, where you find it, and make sure you back it up in case you need it. You can back up individual files, or the entire registry before beginning. @Link....yeah, a restart doesn

a full real copy of window blinds but its under my friends registeration so more then 1 of us is using it, but still thats no crack Well, we can split hairs all day on this if you want to, but the true def is that you have a "pirated" copy. Even though it's a legit full install, you didn't purchase the key yourself.....this defines piracy. On
(because for some reason WB deleted my Windows XP theme). I'll try to find a way to bring my Windows XP theme back and use that instead.. Make sure the themes service is running. After a full uninstall, check your desktop properties and click on XP theme. It should come right back. If not, I'll help ya get it back. @StoneBlue....c
WB usually has that theme already with it...should be on the list to the far left...
Don't feel bad....that's happened to all of us.
Only issues I've seen may be with the themes themselves, or the way WB applies them. Start menu flashes momentarily when clicked on the start button in themes like Azenis, MSN Messenger popup bubbles in some themes will flash so fast you can't read the information.
Right click your desktop, go to properties. Click on the Appearance tab. Click on the Advanced button. Click in the window, the areas you wish to change and they will become highlighted in the pull down menus below. As well as the color scheme.
Update worked well for me.....can't wait to see what you artists come up with next! Where can I get those Spider-Man and Star Wars icon suites? I second that, or at least for the Star Wars icons...I see they're done by The Skins Factory, but no luck finding them. ([email protected])</
Please, take no offense at these suggestions. But, as an avid fan of software/computers since heaven knows when, and apart of several communities on the web...I would like to add the following: It's best at times to not use bundled software packages UNLESS you know how to use them, and what they do. Symantec's (Norton) is notorious for crippling even the most rugged of systems just by installing their entire suite of software. It could be a thousand reasons why bundled software doe
A quick and easy fix to keep FF from jumping around, is to add a button to your Bookmarks Toolbar folder. All ya need is one. Works like a charm every time, as I've seen this after installing FF, and delete all the Windows site buttons that come with importing the favs from IE. and.....it doesn't matter if there's a theme or not, it jumps. Good luck, hope it helps.
