I'm new around here. Sorry all your friends are gone. I love reading poetry so I wouldn't mind leaving a comment or two. which just makes me a sentimental sop of a human being Don't feel too bad, it is natural for us to seek validation and want to make a mark on the world. and an embarrassment to t

Look at what you are paying now and what you will pay after the wage increase and you will see the price of hotels, rental cars, and pizza go up. I would be interested in knowing the research on this. Is there a direct connection? Do the increases on both ends just even things out again? Being knew to this type of topic I'm not sure where to find such answers. Any suggestions? If you want more money or a better life, t
The original picture you posted was incredible! I like the others too. The real test is what the bride and groom thought of course.
Based on my experience, and obviously that of many others on here, you really can't judge. It totally depends on the people. Some of my parents closest friends met and married in a month and they have been married for 30+ years. I only have one marriage to base my experience on but I think the survival of marriage depends as much, if not more, on the commitment of the two people throughout the marriage than how well they know each other before.
In my opinion before the honeymoon silk and lace comes on you should have spent enough time with the person that you know exactly who they are and who you are in life. This requires a lot of time and effort I agree and disagree. We obviously need to know each other REALLY well, way better than most people take the time to do before they rush into commitment. However I don't believe we can really know EXACTLY who someone else is...possibly ever. People ar
I'm sorry that you haven't had enough good experiences in Italy to outweigh the bad. I love Italy, despite all the difficult things that happened while we were there. That isn't to say that I think Italy is better than America. There are a lot of messed up things about Italy that make me grateful to be American. It is my hope however that everyone who has the opportunity to experience Italy could see its beauty despite what is screwed up about it. Despite how hard our experience was, I
Mi dispiacce. I haven't found that to be the case, but what do I know? I just live here. I'm sorry. I should have clarified since I'm new here. I don't currently live in Italy, but I have in the past, which is why I have some knowledge on the subject. As far as finding beauty in Italy, I would just encourage you to take the time to get out of Naples and see a little more. The best way to truly appreciate it is to pick a nice spot and spend a li
staniera: You *never* lie to your husband? Never?!? Honestly I don't remember a time when I did. Also, I'm a terrible lier and he would know if I was doing it.
My husband and I are best friends so we tell each other everything. At this point, most of our life is shared anyway, so there isn't much opportunity to lie.
Man, I feel sorry for you.
Wow~ is that legal?? I guess since theoretically you might not hardly work they can get away with it.
I have been covertly reading on joeuser for more than a year now. There is alot of interesting stuff written and I love looking at all the different perspectives people have. Unfortunately there is alot of crap written as well. It's sad and sickening to watch mature adults get so caught up in being a**holes to each other that they can't have an intelligent conversation. I
And why should I "be careful?" I'm sure you have probably seen the way the Italian media generalizes about America and it is really annoying. Here you are getting mad at the Foreign Affairs people for generalizing about things they don't know, but you are bordering on doing the same thing. I laughed my ass off. It was a fairly funny scene. I don't speaka da linga, so it wasn't like I could drop a dime to the Cara
Be careful about generalizing about Italy based on Naples. It is a pretty unique place, even by Italian standards. Just wondering what you really expected people to do? What did you do about it?
I think that is an incredibly admirable attitude. I can't say that I am that selfless. I still love the anticipation of presents piled under the tree and the thrill of ripping into them Christmas morning. But I also love the thrill of knowing that the things I picked out so carefully have brought joy to another. Here's to sweet Christmas memories!
Movies, CDs, a juicer, a beautiful panda bear (stuffed animal), a ring to hold my cross stitch (new hobby I just picked up and I don't know all the lingo yet) and several pairs of colored socks We spent most of the day with friends, eating, talking and then playing games. Tonight we watched one of my new movies and now we are listening to one of my new cds.
You go to bed with your computer?? I'm sure your wife loves that!
We went to see King Kong last night, and we actually thought it was good. Being a big wus when it come to movies, there were some scenes in the first half that I definitely covered my eyes for. I am probably not the best movie critic, but I thought overall it was done rather well. I may be partial however since I love movies from that time period, and I am sentimental about remakes of movies that I saw as a child. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif"
I general, I believe divorce is wrong. As was mentioned, too many people divorce for petty reasons, including "I don't love him anymore." Love isn't a feeling, it’s a decision. A decision to care for another person, as much as or more than yourself. There are many situations in life in which we don't feel happy. Even with children, they don't always make us feel good. But we love them anyway. And we should choose to love our spouses just the same. Even
Wow, that's realy annoying! I hope everything works out. It must be pretty scary to be in a situation like that. I'll be praying for you!
I am totally on your side! I love the anticipation! That's the best part. I mean, the gifts are great of course, but it is the anticipation and suprise that makes it magic! However, I can see the other side, with so many presents, its true that kids just move from one to the next. So....I'm glad I don't have to make that decision yet since I don't have kids. Only one year were we allowed to open a present early, on Christmas eve, we
The important thing is that you are willing to talk about and work on your problems. Also that you have been willing to listen to how he feels and adjust what you do to meet his needs. That is a real relationship booster. I can tell you really love your husband and your family. I will be praying for you and that he doesn't have to be sent out again.
That article was incredible! I can only hope my husband and I will have a marriage as strong as yours when we reach that point. You are an amazing tribute to what love and committment in marriage really means. May God bless you.
