thanks bichur, my system is 32,after a year of dealing with issues Hp finally installed a new mother board. What do you know it really wasn't vista after all.I am going to give this a try with my Nvdia graphics. I will let you know what happens. Thanks again!
Does anyone know whether or not virtual desktops works on Vista, With all the issues there have been about vista, I would hate to have to reformat again, LOL
I had the same type of problem, have you tried going in to all programs, right click on dreams, click on properties, then compatibility, then put a check in run as administrator. That should stop the problem with UAC which seems to be starting your problem , I had the same issue with a games download manager too, same solution worked.

Just trying to get some info. I read the articles about Object Desktop 2008. They state that when you install it programs like windowblinds, DesktopX, Icon packager, My colors, etc. are installed automaticly. Well when I upgraded "or so I thought" I installed impulse but no programs installed. Does this mean the program might not be working properly? I can install anything from the my desktop catagorie. It is just not behaving t

No , I didn't buy pro that I know of. But the create and export gadgets and desktops were there on my old Stardock central, LOL, like I said until now I really didn't have the time to get to it. But, things have definitely changed some where. My Xp didn't have the space to play around with, so I put it on back burner. It may be that some features may have been taken out of Desktop X when they brought out the Pro version. Just checking to see if I might be forgetful. Thanks any way.
Does Desktop X come with the Desktop 2008 upgrade? Until I installed Impulse The desktop X program I used had all of the features of the pro version, exporting gadgets etc. And now the only program that is listed on impulse is Desktop X 3.0. If I read the features right that means I've been downgraded not upgraded! Now I am not a constant user for that matter I am realitively new 5 years. LOL, haven't tried to create a skin as of yet just been using other
