hey thanks wizard and starkers i used the MS tool W7 USB DVD tool.. and a 8 gig thumbstick- its working fine on my rig and on my very old Asrock Penryn board... So i guess if it works on a 5 year old MB -it should work fine on a brand new board aswell. Just wanted to make sure [e digicons]:)[/e] The fun thing is that the thumbstick doesnt get noticed by my old board in the bios itself... But it still works using the boot option (usb : ) while the bios only shows

Hello, was told it would be possible to boot from usb-stick and do your average windows7 xp vista installation from a usb-stick. A friend bought a new pc with a gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P intel Mainboard socket 1155- And has a dvd writer that is (IDE at home) The only problem is that the board has no IDE slots...thats why iam asking if its possible to boot via usbstick from this mainboard? The pdf manual only mentioned external usb HDD.

DisturbedComputer that was already possible in the developer beta with a simple registry tweak. + I think i have to mention this since many dont understand the concept of this... Its not final but as far as ive heared the final version will have the start metro design but you will can switch to the desktop ( the one we are having atm with the taskbar and startmenu ) + you can simply reopen the <span style="text-decoration: underline;

it is indeed faster than win7 boot times got cut if you will notice that during a game? i doubt it. It is very user-friendly and you have everything in sight. For games the thing is that normally a game or certain parts off it get loaded into cache and to have an advantage over a game is all about the hardware its about the timings off your ram and power of cpu and gfx card in games also read times from hdd play a role here + how much data can be transfered through the communication

RoodVargas thats what LS and JC are trying to say there is a windowblinds skin in windowblinds 7.3 named win8 and win8 metro You can get each displayed style by simply recoloring one of the skins... so you dont have to spend a penny its all there and the style displayed is very very close what you get when you use the recolor optiion to match your walls Win8Metro by Stardock Design

i hate those toolbar addons -those gremlin like things- you have one installed and they replicate and multiply overnight until there is no more room for them in your browser and then they spread out to your Taskbar and then HDD - evil bastards [e digicons]:banhammer:[/e] The worst part is that if you install a known app these days and just click yes agree yes yeah whatever go and so on your likely to have them installed without even knowing. @ Neil is there a way to define the size of perpixel frames with a value- iam asking this since some applications seem to have a lower value and can therefore be shrunkn to almost the rollup state with a width of 50 like skinstudio itself. Most skins with a little bit creativity in windowframes will be cut off or the margins settings will be scaled and the whole look will change when the window gets reduced to that 50x20 size. So i was thinking maybe just maybe
