GC2:TotA Crashes when Starting a New Game in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

This is a fresh install. First, I deinstalled all existing GC2 stuff. Then I installed GC2 from Impulse and waited for it to complete. Then I installed the first expansion and waited for it to complete. Then I installed Twilight and waited for it to complete. I am also using the latest nVidia drivers for my GTX275 video card. The game launches fine, but crashes immediately, and every time I try to start a new game. Any help would be appreciated.
