I've run into two problems: 1. I've had the insane population explosion after an invasion as well. I invaded the Torian homeworld (pop. 18B) under Drengin control. The first wave of transports failed, the second took the planet by a slim margin. Both times I attacked using Information Warfare since the planet had a 30% morale. Following the invasion the planet had a population of 4.29 TRILLION. This immediately plunged my approval to 1%. The upside was it also blanketed the entire map

One last thing. For running the game on a low-end system with an old OS, it runs awfully well. The only thing's I've noticed performance-wise is some slowdown late in the game on the larger maps and the explosion effects stutter some. Great job. I was afraid when I saw some of the early screen shots that my system wouldn't be up to it.

I checked the registry. The install path and exe are right. Using the shortcut and clicking on the launcher exe have the same effect--nothing. Should the revision and version numbers match? The revision is .007 and the version is .008. I guess I'll try a fresh install when the box gets here. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response. I'll check the registry for #1 2. I have Invidia's Geforce 77.72 drivers installed. The 81.98 drivers didn't like my system and caused all sorts of direct draw errors. 7. I think I should still have a save where I'm at peace and the war tax appears on my economy screen. I'll send it.

First off, thanks for a great game. I've always been impressed by Star Dock's support of its products. I've got a few questions about some things that may or may not be bugs: 1. The latest patch .008 broke my launcher. I can only start the program by clicking directly on the game .exe. Once my boxed copy arrives I won't be able to update my serial number. 2. Great game! I'm enjoying it a lot. A lot of great suggestiosn so far. How about a ctrl+A hotkey that forces all ships on autopilot to complete their moves before the end of the turn? Then you can cycle through those with remaining movement.
