I have to say I'm disappointed that stardock is charging $45 for the CD (plus more for shipping/handling), when I can order the game from Amazon for only $39 (including shipping). It's all the more mind boggling when Amazon get's a cut of that $39, meaning less reaches stardock!!! I would love to have purchased directly from stardock, but paying $15 more after all is said and done strikes me as lunacy. I'm wagging my finger of shame to you, brad, for this oversight. Otherwise, can't wait. l

I just want to make sure the other races don't know before hand where the resources are. It was annoying in GC1 finding all those constructors bee-lining to the nearest resources when I was still exploring. arrrgh
I'm in Chicago (sorry, more of the USA). But I can say I was born in an axis-of-evil country. I'll let you guess where.
Can't you just gift them back?
sorry...posted twice. damn unresponsive servers lol
The comments I've been reading are that it only only helps when it's closer to it's destination because that's when the freighter is at the height of it's revenue stream. Your freighters' revenue stream reduce to zero as it returns home. I also read that these starbases help other races too, not just yours. Can someone please verify this? I would hate to have my starbases helping my competitors economically.
Me? Reading the forums anxiously waiting for my copy from amazon.com. A little dim sum with some friends for lunch today in the freezing cold that is Chicago. Oh yeah, forum hunting...and waiting for dread lords in a fetal position hoping my fiance doesn't notice. I can't even bring myself to play GCI.
I believe I read somewhere the release (for download, at least) is sometime in the afternoon eastern time.
My understanding is that they're only attacking that specific race's freighters, not Terran freighters. So if the Terrans have a route, those freighters aren't touched. But Torian freighters are fair game. I think this will affect the Torians when the freighters to Terran Alliance are attacked more than it affects the Terrans themselves. Can someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this?
I ended up tossing my copy of Silent Hunter III AFTER I realized it had starforce copy protection. As a consumer, I was pissed that I had something like that installed on my PC, treating me as a criminal for having legitimately purchased Ubisoft's product. So thank you, Brad et al. for realizing that those who will pay, pay...and those who steal, will steal and there's no need to screw over the legitimate customers like ourselves. Ubisoft and everyo
Hear hear!
These bugs/issues are nothing compared to the crap that's been released by other companies! Kudos to you and your team, Brad.
Show off.
I have to admit that Fantasy General was a guilty pleasure of mine...
Wow Robzig...you'd think someone in sales would be a bit more cheery. But I guess the customer service bit would do someone in.
What about amazon.com? I pre-ordered on Amazon...will I be receiving the Collector's Edition from them too? Thanks.
