the 3650's here in bendigo run at $160 to $180 so i don't really want to spend that much, especially seeing as my system is not a hardcore beast. I am thinking the X1650 might be the way to go. I had a look on ebay as well and the X1650 cards are pretty standard priced brand new from between $75 and $90 so i think i am getting a good deal. Thanks heaps for everyones input, it's much appreciated :)
it's AGP, My system is AMD64 3000+ 2Ghz , 1.5Gb RAM, Windows XP SP3 and HDD is 160Gb seagate. games i play, well , call of duty 4 and all the others in the series, far cry and far cry 2 umm simcity 4, sims 2. plus a fair bit of photoshop work. I looked at other cards but they were all over $120 to $150 and most were PCI-e. Getting harder and harder to find a half decent AGP card. I should add that my current card is a ATi 9600 pro 256Mb and it allows me to play
thinking of buying one of these, been offered it for $80, anyone know what these cards are like and if it is worth doing the deal?
isn't it strange the way we look at ages... when we are kids we want to get old so we says things like "i am 14 and 3 months" then we become 21, after that it is all downhill...we turn 30....reach 40....make 50....hit 60.....and so on until we reach 100 then we turn back into kids again "i am 104 and 3 months" :) happy birthday mate, 1 more year to go until i reach 40.
yep same here, all i get is no preview, but all the other galleries are just fine, Might have something to do with the ongoing site upgrades.
personally i think comparing 3Dmark scores is a bit like a pissing contest because they really bear no relevance on the type of system you have. If your computer does what you want it to do then it's perfect. A lot of people want the latest and greatest system and then use it for stuff all... who needs a dual core, 10Gb RAM and expensive video card if all you do is watch the occasional DVD or play solitaire. Certainly it's not needed if you surf the net, check your email and do a little bit o
check the Nvidia website for any windows XP 64bit graphics drivers
is this a way for stardock to cheat people into buying their software
no it definately isn't, But it could be expected that YOU would at least learn how to use the program to avoid problems like this cropping up :) reinstall the trial version of windowblinds and use it to apply the default WMC theme again, then you can safely uninstall windowblinds.
basically when stardock are ready and not before. It's pointless making a compatible version when windows 7 is still in beta and then having the next beta version undo all the hard work. Patience is a virtue in this matter :)
i agree, most likely it's your video drivers because i use objectdock plus and can watch full screen video with quicktime, windows media player, winamp and powerDVD with no lag, jerkiness or slowdown. It could also be like HG said, a docklet causing the problem. Hope you get it sorted out :)
kinda reminds me of my ex wife.... 2 years after we divorced :)
IE8 is being skinned fine on my system...using latest build 6.4 on windows XP
I'm with vampothika, Lose the user pic and the start button is cool. By the way where is the XP version of SDV :)
yep mine is doing the same thing
in impulse click the blue orb in top left hand corner, when the preferences box opens up check the box that says show hidden applications.... then scroll down until you find iconpackager and right click on it and choose unhide application. (this is presuming that iconpackager is set to be hidden). Good luck :)
Nimbin: I wasn't even referring to you when i said that. Paranoid much?
LOL, yes and they really are out to get me :P
crunched on grit
I do not get upset if people want to use Windowblinds. I don't care. I get upset when people lie about the patch or at least our patch. It's safe and its stable.
i didn't say your patch was unsafe or unstable....show me where i said that. i said i won't use a program that requires me to patch an operating system file. I also said that Hyperdesk looks like a great program. So get off that high horse :)
You guy's are always so much fun. Seriously, why aren't we doing this more often?
now you try and turn it around and make like your only doing this for a bit of fun, LOL give me a break, YOUR the one who gets all uppity when they say that they prefer WB over Hyperdesk, YOUR the one who has lowered yourself now to being disrespectful to other and their opinions. You need to get over yourself and your obviously massive ego and come to terms with the fact th
