I am trying to update from 1.3 to 1.4 to give E:WoM one more chance. It won't update, won't download. I went to the impulse forums and they're saying it's Stardocks servers that are the problem, they think. They don't seem to be sure. So. Can you guys maybe check and see if your servers are up, since apparently Impulse has no idea? Pathetically frustrating.

SERIOUSLY WTF It's hammering the hell out of my RSS feed. What's going on man!?
Looks interesting to me.

Thanks for the tips. I really want to like this game, im not here to just complain. I did put the tech speed up a little, it helped. difficulty doesn't seem to be the big problem, since im not being overrun by the AI, its just massive stagnation. NOTHING happens. some specific questions.... @Fistalis, @Dsraider So I don't really understand how to not hit the tile limit on cities if I'm just pumping a ton of studies in there. And the housing techs seem really far d
I was so looking forward to this game. I played all the major 1.0 patches. I was looking forward to 1.1 hoping it'd be the game i expected from the beginning. But it's not. 1.1 pacing, to me, is excruciatingly slow. Takes forever to research stuff unless I dump tons of studies and arcane labs into my cities, and tons of housing, and so I end up hitting the tile limit constantly and haven't been able to build anything cool. Maybe I'm missing some sort of key gameplay poin
crap mine broke too today. :(
very exciting! i've stopped playing Elemental until 1.1 - 1.1 is sounding like where the game SHOULD have launched. And I'm very excited about it. :)
thanks!!! love updates on the updates!
I still get OOM crashes in win32 also.
Having some issues on the diplomacy screen, for treaties. Seems intermittent, hard to understand what's happening. Choosing things doesn't always actually select them, sometimes the "accept" choice shows up but clicking on it and the AI still denies the treaty. But I couldn't get it to go reliably, it was very unpredictable.
dmp/err files http://drop.io/qaivtqe win vista 32-bit, OOM, crash to desktop.

You know I'm starting to see this too. Seems like stuff is spawning like crazy as each faction researches adventure techs. Stuff is popping up all around my cities all the time.
And they're girls too. Neither parent is bald. But the kids are. It seems to be the ones born in hooded cloaks. A sister with no hood had a full head of hair.
debug.err http://pastebin.ca/1943705 dmp file http://drop.io/rffuypc :( with the archery bug, this crash....1.08 is a disappointment :(
clearly there's some glitchiness in caravans! doh :(
Had this happen also with a caravan destroyed by monsters. i was unable to re-build a caravan unit in the associated city.
Using teleport (spirit walk, actually) I was unable to teleport to a square inside my zoc. it happened to be on a razed minor faction city square.
Does slowing down teh pace of the game (in the beginning options screen) slow down tech acquisition? might help some of the issues people have with the 'feel' of the tech research.
This is amazing.
Sounds like stardock just found their new lead beta tester. get this guy in charge of games QA.
Um, I think he said slated for a QA slot on Tuesday. Which means it wouldn't be out until next Thursday, most likely.
given that your video drivers are over a year old, im guessing they'll tell you to start by updating those...just a guess.
seems like kryo often pokes his head into a bug post and says "yeah, got that one, its coming in patch x" and then there's still 200 posts about it afterwards. both in the thread and new threads. it would keep down on clutter to have a sticky patch post with the "got thems" listed. i mean, i assume stardock wants our input on bug reports. im hoping so. they seem like they do. it would be nice to know when to stop submitting them for certain bugs once we know they're squashed.</p
Now that frogboy has decided to scale back his dev journal posts, i'd just like to suggest what i'd like to see: a running log of what is IN/FIXED for the next patch - whatever that patch would be. that way the community would be apprised of what bugs to stop harping on. might make everyone's life easier. additionally, in this live document post (since the list would be changed as we neared the patch release) there could be a "priority" section showing what else is being worke
