I was unable to use this spell to create a land bridge that I could actually walk across. It doesn't seem to work well on shorelines at all. Looks like non-harbor shoreline squares are impassable ("cliff" squares, I guess), even if you raise land out of the sea on the other side of it.
i got it to work. i had to raise the beach areas twice though, I think.
The software development house I work for is a wholly owned subsidiary of a multibillion dollar corporation. We do the development of the application that is the "face" of this corporation. Literally tens of millions of people use our product every day. To ship a product in the same condition as E:WoM would instantly get our firm shutdown and all of our work outsourced or moved to a different development company.&nbs

Oh for godssakes you guys, give it a rest. it's been a week. it's not like the game would be cheaper if you waited a week or a month to buy it. give them a chance. you bought the game - why? cuz it sounded awesome. stardock has their developers working on it full-time for a year. did you play galciv2? the game didnt even resemble the release version in 6 months - it was 10x better. theyre not charging you by the month. get a refund if you want - but youll just end

I'll try and find one later kryo - but it happened in two separate games, late-game...6-7 cities, lots of units, etc. I think something isn't calculating right.

In a couple games now, I've had a problem where I lose gold every turn. However, when I hover over the treasury icon at the top of the screen, it says i'm MAKING gold - positive gold. Yet every turn, the treasury goes down. So either there's some hidden expenses that aren't being counted, or there's a bug somewhere. :/

@cfehunter lulz ok you think I'm n00b. that's cool. i've been working with this kind of thing since before you were born. You weren't clear at all about the "it" - since you said "it" would happen in every app that has 3D in it. But "it" doesn't, my card runs plenty of other games just fine. If you took the time (and I don't expect you did) to read that entire ATI/AMD forum thread, you'd see it was a VERY specific and uncommon problem with certain ATI

Really frustrating. Everything gets slower and slower, sounds disappear, animations dwindle until, finally it just CTDs. No error message, nothin. http://pastebin.ca/1927337 I was going to paste a link to the dmp file, but its a 0kb empty file. :/ Has happened in every game I've played so far. :( I can't finish a game! Everything is updated, graphics drivers, elemental. edit: So after upgrading my catalyst

Are you sure you meant "QFT" there? Because it looked like you were agreeing with me, but last I knew "QFT" meant Quit F'king Talking
<

Just a week ago the R's in the senate were praying for a D senator to die and not make the vote. In other words, political extremists want their extremist opponents to die. On both sides. This isn't news, and isn't even worth mentioning anymore.

Unfortunately, I have seen plenty of successful people who don't have these traits, and plenty of unsuccessful people who do have them. There's no sure-fire way to be successful, nor is there a universal set of reasons for why people are successful. When you try to reduce it to universal observations, you end up with tautologies - "All successful people are successful - that's what makes a person successful. Success."

Oh and to the hurricane-prediction poster - silly. It's a case of micro vs. macro. Try predicting any single stock on the market over one year. Pretty tough right? Now try predicting the entire composite market, as a whole, over 50 years. A lot easier huh?

Lets see - facts we can agree on: CO2 is a greenhouse gas. Greenhouse gases trap heat and raise temperatures (that's why they're called "greenhouse" gases). The earth is currently in a warming trend. We are spewing tons upon tons of CO2 (and other greenhouse gases) into the atmosphere at unprecedented rates and quantities. Now lets assume, as you do, that CO2 isn't the problem. Forget all that. Given the facts above, that

I'm not crazy about espionage. It's too expensive and I have to use agents to nullify agents on my worlds. I never can spy on others, and they get nullified far too fast to be worth it. I like the concept, but I think it's not really well balanced right now. 8/

I'm using the newest DA version- I often give my ships away. It's the easiest way to recover my economy. The AI races can't handle the influx of ships on their economy, so they end up destroying most of them. Meanwhile, I'm able to build a ton of ships and make money while doing it. It works pretty well. I usually only do it in peacetime. But I've never been able to trade anything for all of another race's planets. I was totally shocked, but man, it was worth it to get rid of the Altari
