do ( pathead(noob); ++rep } while (rep } I'd use a for loop there instead mate -J

The difficulty and the intelligence of the AI can be made different and so offsetting one another. I've had it where I set an AI to one level but since I didn't set the difficulty to that level it thought I was facing a weak enemy, its also worth considering the average difficulty of all your opponents. If one is set to Genius and the rest to dumb then that might average out at Cakewalk. Signed: Emperor Jovien Kai of t
I think he means knows where the planets are in that they both start with stellar cartography technology... Signed: Emperor Jovien Kai of the Kaiidan Imperium Bloody interest match, I think the Altarians will win the technology and arms race, but the Torians will win with the population and economy. Each play to its advantages.
The AI isn't that impressive, considering that even at the hardest levels it is easy to fool and exploit. At which level of difficulty does the AI start to get economic bonuses? I want to fight the AI 100% - Economic Bonus to see just how good it is. I did try the absolutely highest setting the other day, and to be fair it did all but defeat me since I quit. The fact I recognised the fact that regardless of how hard I
Damn so thats why I keep getting low scores. I'll have to remember to keep hitting turn turn turn when I've all but beaten the enemy. Thanks Trespasser. -J
I'd also like to do this. At present you can only create a 25%-50% full galaxy, the amount of space wasted is quite a lot. But then again I play only MV games now. So unless this was supported by SD theres not much point to it. LOL -J
Just be a man and send in the lads, they will sort them blind fools out for you. ROFLMAO -J
You think thats odd???!?!?! The other day I had a 36 shield ship go up against a Beam 5 ship and was getting hammered for 5 every few shots. Something is a bit fubar'ed there mate. Imagine my surprise when my battleship barely survived the encounter with a fracking fighter. -J
*BUMP*
Hi, I've noticed this bug a few times now and have simply put up with it but now it is annoying. No matter what planet settings I use I always get 5 planets per system. I have yet to see any systems without 5 planets I am perplexed to why this is happening, it has been doing this on and off since I have gotten the game. I had it start shortly before the first patch and it has continued ever since. The only mod I use id kryo mod fo
I too would like to see the ability to threaten erm I mean warn the AI about various things. I'd like to see a option like warn and the ability to select the object you are warning them about like SB, Ships, or Colonies. Otherwise the AI isn't going to know what you are angry or threatening them about. -J
Is there anyway of getting Kryo's mod to work? -J
I find normal just about right for ownage. But for some fight back I recommend trying tough, it certainly made a noticable difference for me. They actually invaded several of my worlds and really fought back to the point when I thought I might lose. But luckily I didn't. -J
Very nice idea, but make it an option in prefs just in case people don't want it. J
What a guy If you could have him in the campaign mission the Dreadlords would be running for the hills. J
Thats a ship still
Play.com is based in the Isle of Jersey which is excluded fro mcertain taxes, this allows companies based in Jersey to underprice pretty much all their rivals on the mainland. This is great for the customers but wholely unfair to any UK mainland business. I think the tax is the VAT tax at 17.5% which is why they can undercut everyone else selling by a massive amount. This is also kind of unfair on us as customers as the number of businesses now based in Jersey using this loop hole mea
Yep I've played my last 4 game as populists with additional morale bonuses and economic bonuses and I can say you can easily win over the rest of the AI in less than a hundred turns on the money front. I usually aim for 70% morale rather than 100% since it gives you insane tax returns. Having a double pop growth is only good till you hit that magic population ceiling, then its morale hell from there on up. I once had a population at 20 billion and beli
I played a custom setup game yesterday using my now perfectly tuned hand picked race. I started a game in a tiny region with 2 normal opponents and a lot of habitable planets. First turn I realised I was in serious poo-land, I had the Drath to the south of me and the Iconians to the North West, right on top of the Iconians was another system, with only 4 systems in the game whoever got that system was guaranteed a nice advantage. Unfortunate
2 thumbs right, yep I believe this should be possible by any race within a set distance of a planet, i.e. 2 sqs. J
Basically this game can pretty much be decided in the first 20 turns on a tiny region game. I've played 2 games last night, both in a tiny region with abundant habitable planets but few planets and I won against 2 random empires on normal with little problem. For your first game get a tiny region, put everything to occasional and have 1 opponent not Dreguin. Try this and you'll have enough time to explore and get a grip with the game mechan
Hail Admirals Mission: Do a suicidal run into the enemy lines, now I know all you have at your disposal is 3 light fighters and a garbage tug but hey nevermind, good luck against those 8 battleships. Yes a think a retreat option could be useful. LOL J
Good lord, I know you speak English because you did it in the last paragraph of your post, even going so far as to use commas, which is beyond the grasp or concern of many people online. What is this childish pronoun use? "Me's want" isn't making your position any more appealing. Gooooooood lord get a
REACH FOR THE STARS was utter SH*T how dear you mention it in context to a superior product like GalCiv2. Begone wrong doer!
Me's want combat tactical, me's want to order suicide run into enemy battleship. ME's want to tell fighter to flank evil Torian slug and stab in back. But alas no such luck Tactical combat would make GC2 a whole 1 star better in my opinion, and it is already good. I can't want to get my hands on Space Empires 5 tactical combat, NOW thats goin
