You can build your own Hydrogen Cell Generator... basically make one for a car that is plugged up to your house. There's kits online... but you have to find the Hydrogen then. You can also crack the Cold Fusion Equation and get a Nobel Prize for it... another useful effort, on 2 fronts. And if that doesn't work, you can always drill for oil right in your back yard... at least you'd be self contained. Might even turn a profit. :-)

[quote who="Littleboy" comment="8"] he's showing a responsibility to his CURRENT elected office by being there for the Congressional Sessions Candidates attendance record McCain: 64.1% votes missed Obama: 45.9% votes missed Still way to much votes missed by Obama (he's third in the top-five and the second one Tim Johnson has a pretty good excuse), but this clearly shows that being in congress has not been the top priority for the candidates. I'd like to offer the other side of the argument: he's showing a responsibility to his CURRENT elected office by being there for the Congressional Sessions. The Debate can easily be moved to DC where the Sessions are being held, it's not the other way. A more important question is why does Obama feel it's ok to miss out on such important sessions? What else would he be willing to miss out as the President because it didn't fit his political agenda? There's abs

I saw this on the news... as a US Taxpayer I'm fairly upset about this. Obama said it to OReily as well... people who make 250k+ should pay more taxes to make up for the lower half paying less. That upper half already DOES pay more taxes, what they're doing is asking for even more... The "American Dream" is to make that kind of money... and it feels, as if, they are punishing those lucky enough to accomplish the status of the American Dream.

It's amazing that Liberals believe Conservatives want Big Government... when it's Liberals saying the Government should be in charge of more.

Lets say Obama worked his way up at Microsoft or Google... no board of Directors would put him in charge of either of those Companies when referencing his past record as a basis. I think the point Brad was trying to make is that we're going to put this man as the CEO of the world's largest corporation... produces the most, spends the most, donates the most, has the largest workforce... IN THE WORLD. Could Obama run a McDonalds? Sure. Could Obama run a Sears? Qui

He's right... Often I find myself arguing with a Liberal on a topic to have them point out multiple facts from the past (hindsight is 20/20, right?) with no facts as to why decisions are made. When I say "Decisions are made based on evidence presented at the time. Haven't you ever looked back and said 'Well gee, that was dumb... guess I should finish and follow through though since I started.'" and have them stutter while they remember a few times, but not want to admit tha

I feel for you Brad... most the time they end up going in a circle and you can easily confuse them on a topic... it makes talking to them about real issues harder later

Hope you're enjoying your time... when you get back I'm excited for some DemiGod Beta. The kids look like they're having fun. You should've added "No Children were hurt in the creation of the pictures for the post." ;-)

They are quite "righteous"... however, you seem quite upset by the tone of the blog... Whenever somebody tells me to trade my truck in for a Hybrid or something, the excuse is always to "Save on Gas" or "Save the Environment"... when it's the later, I laugh. Those batteries go someplace when you throw em out, right? But my favorite is the first one... save on gas. It's quite the short term goal, as the maintenance is near twice as expensive, and the half life of a hy

i think there was an Outer Limits like that Brad... where they fashioned the faces from the sand in order to fool us silly Humans. I'd watch out... they might be monitoring your blog...

You know, I didn't like the idea of the Dock. it was really just the Dock rehashed from OSX. But after using it, Iv'e come to really enjoy it's presence. Still wish I had the option between Dock and SystemTray though.

Other things "Gen 3" should have: 64 Bit Support Natively - To date the only games I've installed that have 64 Bit versions are games that work on OSX and HellGate London. We're living in 2008, we're pushing that limit where people want to use that 4th stick of RAM, and are buying 64 Bit Operating Systems. (should be easy) Steam's Community Features work WITHIN the game itself. It's quite different when you play Portal (which I know you've played Brad) and at the bot

I'm not a huge fan of "Gen" things, and while I think your Gen 1 and 2 are accurate, you might've missed a few things Steam has done in order to give Impulse (which I'm a fan of, and dislike, at the same time) a great look. Steam has capability for Persistant Community. There's a great community tab that allows for MySpace style user pages complete with blogs, messaging, and knowing what other users are playing and even own. (My friends make fun of my extensive list of games on t
