Sorry, If I am doing something very stupid, but I can't seem to activate OD+ I just bought the program, downloaded it and installed it. I restarted, and then it asked me to put in the email/registration. I stuck in my email and copied the code from the email. "The product activation was unsuccessful" Nothing more specific than that. I tried several other email addresses, no luck. I have uninstalled the free object dock first. Is there anything else I need to do?
Wraith367
The first beta is due out after the New Year (think January). Not soon enough... But better than I expected
What penalties are there for having a negative treasury then? Thats more of what I meant.
actually, I did have to hit refresh a couple of times...
personally I think most people on this forum sound like they belong in IC or SD 1337 user(s) active in the last 5 minutes. I doubt they have THAT many employees
There would have to be some kind of penatly for having more active than you can support. Maybe units firepower and health is degraded, or reasearch slows, or some combination of things to prevent that.
Maybe there could be a ship storage orbit or something...It would be a good idea. However, restarting them should be time instensive and a decent cost, to prevent using them defensively.
Works fine for me... Why wouldn't they release a game with so good an engine that looks so close to release? I don't know what sins will looks like, but hopefully its something like that.
He means that there is a setting so that if someone leaves, than another person can take over for the AI that took over, not a spectator or waiting list from the beginning.
Maybe orbital buildings do have a maintainance cost. That way you coudln't spam labs.
fleet command capabilities So there is some kind of logistics thingy? Commmand ships that increase the number you can have in one fleet or something?
Don't remember seeing this discussed anywhere. How does the limit on ships work Is it a pop limit based on the number of peopl/logistics you have Or is it more of a GC2/SOTS thing with each ship constantly deducting resources as maintainance?
Are there also limits to orbital structures? And if there are, do they share the limit with ground buildings?
So essentially there are 3 buildings, and you can have (for example) a max of 5 of any kind on a planet and only 10 total on the planet?
The 2d setup was one of the worst features of SOTS. And the combat was nice, but very slow....
If a player has to leave, will an AI take over their empire or can they give it to an ally?
The "unofficial" stardock central is what I have. You can order anything you want with a plain old credit card on it. You do NOT have to get the Totalgaming.net package... Its only useful for buying multiple games. If you do buy anything, you can just stick the serial in SDC. Its really a great system stardock!
Sots is a decent game... kinda... The random, huge tech tree/random events/alien encounters are all great. Empire management, building, combat... Not so good.
Will planets block sensors? Ex. will a fleet on the other side of an attacking fleet be hidden, and can then rush over the poles to reinforce?
Nice screenshots. Those are a LOT of fighters in that first shot! There must be a large amount per ship
The layout seems simpler than the previous one. I kind of like the fact that without giant pictures/sigs it takes less time to load and there are more messages per page.
No pre-ordering yet. We hope to have that set up in the next week or two. That should mean pretty soon. The quote is from frogboy's orginal welcome.
Actually I am not. This thread really has gotten off topic. Anyone have anything good/bad about SD? Since this was supposed to be about publishers, not spam wars.
One of the people from the old forum should make a FAQ. Since Schematicsninja seems to have way too much time... hint hint.
13 ships per race isn't that bad. And there will be mods and (hopefully!) an xpack.
