MtOo Retread If you are having problems, I suggest you start a new thread in the bug report forums instead of making a post in an old journal entry. Regarding your game crashes, you should post the debug.err file that is in the galciv 2 directory in a new thread so that we can help you troubleshoot the issue. Just open the file using notepad and then copy and paste it.

How do you expect anyone here to help you if you don't post any system specs and/or debug.err file? Sometimes, people seem like they want to come on here just to whine about problems instead of actually trying to fix it.
Your post is utter nonsense. Galciv 2 doesn't have bugs "coming out if its *ss" as you so eloquently put it. Many people have been playing this game without any major problems like crashes or freezes. Those who did solved their problems by updating old graphics drivers, increasing the size of their page file, or upping the color depth. Notice that these are factors beyond Stardock's control. Before you write some idiotic post on this forum complaining, maybe you should use the time to read
For someone who is 39, you don't sound very mature. Also, if you want multiplyer so badly why don'y you get off your lazy ass and develop your own game that has it.
Did you install the latest patch (1.0X) ? It fixes some of the issues people have had with their video cards getting too hot.
I could come up with a well-written list of suggestions and ways that it should have been done, but to be honest, I'm to fracking mad at the developers right now Well, why don't you? I would love to read your suggestions for improving the game. If your ideas are really good, Stardock might implement them.
Congratulations Stardock! The review is linked on the front page of GameSpot. GalCIv 2 sales are going to skyrocket.
Do a forum search for manual. One of the threads should have a link to the pdf file. Thats how I found it.
Congratulations Stardock! I know everyone is anxiously awaiting more reviews of GC2 esp from Gamespot and IGN. Hopefuly, the rating will be even higher....not that 92.5% isn't already extremely good.
Couldn't find the collector's edition anywhere in the Boston, MA area. I looked at two best buys, target, and ebgames. I'm going to check gamestop next week. I know Walmart has it but I don't have one near me.
Does this mean that Gamestop is getting the plain box as well? I preordered my copy there earlier this month thinking I would get the CE box like many other people.
Seriously, did you even read the forums or journal entries before you made this thread? I have seen replies from Stardock in almost the majority of bug posts on this forum. Brad aka Frogboy made a whole journal entry stating a patch would be released soon and all the bugs that the patch will address. Your post is pointless and trollish.
I haven't been able to find any reviews online for GalCiv 2. Usually, major gaming sites like Gamespot or IGN have reviews up within a day or two of the game's release. I just found it pretty strange. Maybe the reviewers are having so much fun they forgot to write them?
I don't have any login issues with firefox but the site does seem to load considerably slower then under IE.
I reserved my copy at Gamestop. When I called the store today, the associates there didn't know when the game would be instock and whether it was the collector's or standard edition. I knew I should have just ordered direct from Stardock.
tylertoo, I was thinking the exact same thing. Seems to me that Take Two just plain screwed up.
You might want to try Gamestop.com. I just checked their site and they are still taking preorders for it.
The music was done by Mason Fisher, who was a true professional through the whole process. He's also teaming up with us for Society, so I can't wait to hear what he comes up with for that. Oh, and some of the GalCiv1 music is in the game, but it should randomly pick from a whole slew of music, most of it new.<br/
I was wondering if the music in galciv2 is the same as galciv1. I mean I like the theme from galciv1but it would be nice to have some variety. Thanks!
Awesome read! I can't wait until I get my hands on this game. Brad: Please, please, please write up one more game play example before the game is released that is unless you're too busy getting the bonus pack ready for release day. If thats the case, I would rather get more and better stuff in the bonus pack. Thanks to everyone at Stardock for their dedication and hard work to bring us teh best game
Like fsk+, I also want to know if the version from totalgaming.net is only the download version. Can we get some clarification from Stardock? Thanks
I think thats the number of children in an average American household. Or maybe maccca is a kid at heart and hes including part of himself in the number
Hmm...sounds like an interesting idea. I never played Homeworld so I don't know how the trails look or worked. How could there be vapor trails though because I thought that space is a vacuum and that ships weren't euipped with combustion engines but hyperdrives.
I pre-ordered the game through Gamestop so I won't be getting it until next week unfortunately. I would love to look at the tutorial videos right now while I wait for the game. Is there anyway to download them even though I didn't preorder the game through Stardock?
