Well, yes, that *would* solve the problem . But then I have to replay quite a bit...

Okay, that solved the fleet manager problem .
Still an error. I'll try reinstalling an older archive, update that to v1.1 and hope for the best .
Still no elections after 2 weeks...
I'm currently reinstalling the archived version of 1.1. Hope that that will solve the problem. I also changed regional settings to English (UK), but I'm *not* swapping the numeric format (, and .) around. That will mess up my entire Word and Excel sheets for school and work . So I changed the English settings to use the normal Dutch numeric format <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smile
Thanks, I'll try that. But I haven't had any problems with it before 1.1...

I had 2 fleets which I wanted to manage with the new fleet manager. But when I hit the manage button the game crashed. I repeated this from my Quicksave. The debug.err's are in the next two posts.

I researched Instellar Republic, switched to Republic. Got to the next turn, and the election screen popped up. Only problem was that it was transparent and I couldn't get out of it (except ctrl alt del, which I then did). The debug.err is in the nextpost. Then I reloaded, and *bam*. The same thing happened. But now I can play and I (think) never get an election, because it keeps saying "elections will be held at the end of the next week". But I had about 5 or 6 turns by
I have the same bug. It even happens with research. I load the game, 2 turns left to research something, hit Enter, and it's still 2 turns.
I still have the problem . The only difference between this game and the game last night is that now I do more then just hitting Enter. I still had some blue ship icons popping up, but even more icons didn't show up. Here's debug.err (again): Debug Message: Version v1.0X.1 last updated on: Mon Mar 6 13:57:14 2006 Debug Message: Could not f
It seemed that the restoration of an archive fixed the problem. I ran the game for 5 turns, but that missing thumbnail message didn't show up. Tommorow I will see what the game does when I play it for an hour or so.
There are even more png-files missing from the Thumbnails directory. Tomorrow I'll try to reinstall the game and see what that does. But it shoudn't make a difference, I didn't remove/modify any file in the game :s. But here it goes: Debug Message: Version v1.0X.1 last updated on: Mon Mar 6 13:57:14 2006 Debug Message: Could not find a TGN Serial No. Debug Message: *********DXDiag info follows.********* System Info<br
You have to view the image manually, Brinkster doesn't allow linked images... I also played some turns and I think I got the right error message: Debug Message: Destroying ship Constructor Mk3 26385. Here's the screenshot as mentioned above: .
I also have the icons not starting on the bottom right, but somewhere in the top right. Screenshot is in the next post. Sometimes I don't get to see the blue icons that indicated that a ship has been built (same thing for the green icons). Most of the time this happens when some planet has revolted or when I do something when the turn is being computed (been trying to figure out what is causing this). This way I have to manually check if some ship has been built, because I also don't get the turn overview. I just alt tabbed back, and the icons are there. I do so somethi
My Intensive Farming is currently being upgraded to Advanced Farming. But I noticed that both farms produce 8 mt/w. Is this correct? I am running v1.0x.1 btw.
Could you make a text file that has all possible shipnames? There is a similar file for stars names (STARS.txt) where the game randomly picks names from. Is that possbile for ship names?
I did the same . Would be nice to have an option where you actually ask them to surrend to you.
Yeh, I agree . "Traditional" invasion works better. But even after I destroyed the colony and then recolonized, all I could build is that manufacturing centre. So even doing the peaceful thing I still have to wait 100 or 150 weeks to finish it. Buying is an option, have to try that :S.
I invaded some planets of the Iconian, and just to play around I bombed the living daylights of them first. But now the planet only has 3 mp left. And I can only build a manufacturing center, which will take forever to finish. Is there a way to just build the basic factory? After that I can upgrade it to a manufacturing center.
