I don't know if it has anything to do with the number of starbases or not, however it does have to do with the number of ships you can have in a fleet. I don't have the game in front of me, but if you put two ships on the same tile, and click on the ships, it will show you a picture of the two ships in a little screen with a number on it, that is there "logistics value" I guess you could say, different size hulls will have different values, and in the top right section of where the pictures are

I have played about 3/4 of the way threw a gigantic, beginner galaxy, and so far overall the game has been excellent, graphics are great, sound is good, I haven't really gotten into ship design yet, just made a couple quick, I haven't had any of the problems that anyone else has had as far as system crashes or anything, but my comp isn't the greatest, so I have had alot of slowdown in the last couple of hours of gameplay, not a game problem, just to much info for my comp. Little
Once you have opponents feeling "friendly" towards you, you can offer an alliance (provided you have alliances researched), I think anyway.
I always like to be left alone until I am ready to deal with everyone else, and I haven't played it before (besides like 10 turns of the galciv1 demo) Race: Terran Galaxy size: Gigantic Opponents: all of them Habitable planets: common Clusters: tight Difficulty: easy so I expect to be playing the first game for about 3 days.
it isn't a big deal anymore, i just laugh with my friends about it now, but anyway it was like 2001 or 2002
The only reason I asked if you were a cab driver was when i was in athens (greece) me and my friend got taken by them, twice in the same night, 20 eu to dirve us about 2 blocks one time and the next time we wanted to go to a club, so we asked this guy to take us to a good one, and he said if we didn't like the looks of it he would take us back, so we go and of course there are like 5 or 6 clubs along a river and it looks great, so we pay another 20 eu (again for like two blocks) tried to get int
There are many towns named athens in the us, there is one in ga, where I am, alabama, maine, ohio, its one on the most popular names for towns in the us, there are many rome's as well. Oh, and I have been to athens, greece as well, when I was in the navy, you aren't a cab driver are you?
I never played MOO2 before, but I did play rome: total war and they use leaders in their game also, and I really like the ability to use leaders, like someone said you tend to get really attached to the people and stuff. I would love it to be in this game, but it is not a big deal if it isn't. Although if you want to play a stardock game in which you do something like this wait a little bit for society, I read alittle about the game and this concept is in there.

As much as I hate to say it, I don't think it gets shipped until the 21st, so I wouldn't expect it in stores until the 23rd at the earliest, at least thats what I have seen with pc games, the date released is the ship date. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
It usually takes a couple days for the games to get in after the release date, I didn't preorder civ 4 but eb was the first one that got it out of best buy, circuit city and eb. I preordered this from eb.
When I play as the terrans I intend to use classes of us submarines i.e. los angeles class, ohio class, seawolf class (only three of these though), virginia class, etc. Other races I will probably use some of the greek and roman gods as classes.
