I'm on windows 7 x64 ultimate with an ATI 4890 video card, 4 gigs system memory, 2 gigs vidcard memory, and got an out of memory error on turn...oh...300 or so. Pretty far up, but the game had ~1.6 gigs of RAM reserved when the error came about. Not quite as drastic as turn 40 or turn 3, the game was still functional for a pretty long while, but the error did happen. Haven't tried to play since, though, so can't offer if it is reproducible or not...

I managed to get by so far in the campaign, but that just comes from prior TBS knowledge and trial and erroring the crap out of the game. I still don't know how to accomplish some basic features though, like learning new spells by a process other than random campaign contributions. Then there's marriage. A concept I know exists, but no clue how it works or how to set it up. The lack of documentation is staggering...but then I have another problem. Within the 3 or so hours I played, the ga

Hrm, am I the only one finding concern in this DRM stance by Stardock? I understand by reading this that the goo system is designed for digital distribution, which therefore makes online activation rather pointless to bring up....but what about things like if GOO was used on a retail copy, which can and likely will happen, intentionally or otherwise? To my understanding, it'd require online activation for a boxed, retail copy, if this is true. Similarly, the Archiving sys

I'm with Micah here. The regular towers for me almost always go for the nearest target first and ignore the demigod until whatever logic process it uses tells it to hit the demigod, which I also use to great effect when attacking towers at lower levels.

Honestly, if the devs are absolutly adamant about keeping generals with minions (which I'm starting to think is a bit foolish) then in my opinion, the idols should be done away with. You shouldn't punish general players by forcing them to -buy- the idols, but giving them extra money only overpowers the generals if they don't even use them. In my opinion, Idols should just be something you get when leveling. At level 1, you get the minotaur, 2, the archers,

Aye, I've resorted to that as well, but it's more a workaround than an actual solution, and it really shouldn't be necessary to begin with. Then again, fences is still in beta , and is free , so I don't have much room to complain.

Sorry if this has been posted, I did a search but didnt find anything similar, so anyways. First of all, fences is great so far, I'm loving just being able to hide the icons alone, as well as the organizational aspect. However, I have this weird issue with the recycle bin icon (which I keep on the desktop itself, not in a fence). The recycle bin, which I always keep in the default lower-right-most corner, really doesn't want to -stay- in t

I just had a random idea about the citadel upgrade gold and the like. With the recent draw to help make items more expensive, as well as citadel upgrades and the like similarly being made more expensive, while the income of gold being kept the same, it seems to me that most people in the game will prioritize upgrading themselves over their own team since, if they do better, their whole team will do better. However, this is self destructive as, if the underlings

One of the bigger things holding these towers back though is the fact that they do last only about 45 seconds. Low damage be damned, they really need to last a lot longer. Even at low damage, you can still use them to "Bridge the gap" between some towers that are outside of reach of each other, pulling truly powerful towers otherwise unlinked into the battle, but the limited duration makes this all but impossible to use as a viable strategy.

true enough, but let's assume they don't for the moment. Just as fire and ice are primal opposites, so is the earth and air. What if there was an earth and air based elemental caster assassin in demigod? Imagine the potential!

The biggest issue with this design is simply, how d you balance a 4-way map? Let's throw out map design for now, since if they had this mode, it's obvious that map design won't be the premiere issue with it. First and foremost, the only way you could set up a map balanced like this is to have a dual-axis symmetrical map. This means, squares and circles. Right off the bat, you're limiting map design. Three way would require circles and triangles, 2 way squares circles curved

One of my biggest beefs in games these days that involve magic is always one of the four prime elements, air. Specifically, the method of attack associated best with air, lightning. It always seems so underutilized in games these days to find any form of spell caster that uses electrical attacks (hell, air in general) to get the job done, and I believe an air elementalist style demigod assassin would be a great addition to the lineup (perhaps an air/earth elemental style to have oppo

I'd like a general that lays down static defenses and the like to be hyper defensive, as opposed to offensive or a micro-manager of sorts. Now, an assassin that literally was a cannon made out of glass. Eh? Ehhh? Okay, bad idea, but it made me laugh...
YOU FOOOOL!Focus Fire doesn't increase damage mitigation, DAMAGE increases damage mitigation. And for reference, a single Heavy Cruiser is able to cap another ship's damage mitigation on it's own. So stop it with the focus fire nonsense.
Except for the fact that the mechanic is an anti-focus fire mechanic procced specifically by events of damage being flagged? Sure, 1 specific ship may be able to cause the focus fire proc to fire completely, but it's still usually

I had my akkan at level 3 colonization (first time I ever brought it above 1) since the ability looked juicy (especially early-game) and actually noticed it at L2 colonization. I brought it to L3 as well, and didn't notice anything happen. No free extractors, no free "purchased" extractors. This was in 1.02 that I noticed this with a game I played with a friend a couple nights ago. To above: (edit) Really? Hrm, that'd probably be why... It would be nice if the
After a large battle, the player playing as TEC will take AGES to get enough resources again to rebuild his fleet. Pervasive Economy + Industrial Juggernaut. Also a Vasari using only RA ships without any support craft will die to TEC fleet.
Those only go so far when the majority of the TEC's massive income is absolutely decimated by the massive upkeep levels you incur. Likewise, if a vasari player has RA, they don't care about upkeep, so they stop using the black market

Eh, the progenitor, radiance, and rapture are probably the best 3 you can get at first, I'd argue. The progenitor is just a 1 man cap of doom. With just it in any fleet, you can take on a fleet twice your size with the BS that is "malice". (spreads 24% of all damage done to targets debuffed with malice, which is a no-limits chunk in a very large area, and sends it to all other ships debuffed). With radiance, except against vasari with deep-level military research completed, it is abl
