On a more serious note I wonder about one thing concerning Impulse. I like the new Impulse TV and their "reviews" which ofcourse are ads, but still show some real gameplay. I got me thinking about how games are "chosen" for Impulse. Are there any kind of standards of quality that has to be applied to a game that is sold through Impulse? I have a couple of scenarioes to describe what I mean. 1. ACME Gamedevelopment is a new c

I am aware of multiple threads on this topic, but I havnt seen anyone having quite the same take on the problem as I have. So here goes: The reason city spamming is a good strategy is that more cities gives more production, control over more resources, more land and so on. This is standard 4X functionality. I think that PEOPLE should be the limiting factor to avoid city spamming. The population growth in a city should be based on more than a standard perce

I have CIV IV as the best game ever on my subjective list, so I will be buying both Elemental and Civ V no matter what state they are in.

Macemen and longbowmen does not destroy any stack of tanks in CIV IV. If the units are undamaged we are talking about 99% chance of a win for the tank in every fight. So for 5 macemen to destroy 5 tanks you would need 10000000000 tries to make it happen or thereabouts.

I just removed a SupCom 2 picture as my desktop background realizing that this is a game I probably will never play. Connecting it to one game supplier in that way is not a good thing no matter how good or bad steam is.

Since I am a bit slow. Could someone confirm this. When SupCom 2 comes out I will need a steam account to install and play Single Player (I dont do multi). If I need Steam I am out of this game as well as many other ppl.

Is the first game needed in order to understand the story of Armored Princess?[/quote] You dont have to play the first game to understand the second. Still Armored Princess is slightly more difficult. I think the main reason for this is the new medals that you can earn. If you dont focus on them a bit, but just play as th

It seems that most strategy games being developed these days are failures due to low budget or too high complexity in the development phase. 1. Disciples III is getting negative reviews and is being patched like it was a beta (russian version) 2. King Arthur in strong need of a patch according to reviews. Great concept, but not not implemented well 3. Armada 2556 (or whatever the number) the MOO revival is the same. Half baked. All these games should have great

If you are looking for a game now I reccomend Kings Bounty Armored Princess. Regarding 2010: I am waiting for Supreme Commander 2 and Elemental. I am also getting more and more dissatisfied with mainstream strategy games. I dropped Empire Total War because of the Steam connection. Even if you buy the box you need Steam. Lovely consept :(
