Hey, I'm not saying this is the end of the world or that it is unforgivable. I'm just saying that a release date is a release date. I canceled my order with Gamestop and downloaded it. I think Stardock could have been fair to the retailers and delayed availabilty for download but made consumers mad or been unfair to retailers and did what they did. For those that diminish the importance of customers getting their product on the day of release, I bring up 3 points: #1 I have been a gamer since the day when games came in zip-lock baggies. For a long time, release day and getting a game on that day has been important. I choose my stores on who can get a game in the fastest, not on price or anything else and I bet there are a lot like me. Ordered it from Gamestop.com, and the date on their site silently slipped to the 22nd. Even paid extra for next day air. Cancel. The game should have been in stores on the 20th for shipment and release on the 21st. Although I'm sure your Stardock margin is quite a bit higher... hmmm.....
