Bought it on preorder a few days ago, downloaded it from impulse this morning, played around with it for a small bit and I have to say I really like what I see, cant wait until the day is through so I can spend some quality time getting into the nuts and bolts of the game. I am also super impressed with how active you guys are on both these forums and your own (which I just signed up for aswell) Getting a quick patch out is just the icing on the cake to let me feel good

And my pre-order is in, your enthusiasm is contagious, plus I want my discount =P ~Snowman
Congratz are in order for getting this kind of game done and finished in the first place, a secondary kudos goes out to both stardock and you guys for bringing this to impulse, I have steam but much prefer impulse and will be my choice of electronic purchases for the foreseeable future . While I have already made the decision to purchase this game when it becomes available, I am more than prepared to go through the initial mass bug squashing that inevitably comes
Hmm, I still lose games on Suicidal level, must be an obvious bug, please fix. Also, sometimes, when I have not prepared my Empire properly, a civilization will declare war on me and circumvent my grand schemes of a Galactic Dictator ship ruled with an Iron Fist, this is a serious flaw, and no matter how much I cuss and threaten my computer screen, the AI seems to ignore this, a better venting process that doesn't wake up my wife or kid would be much appreciated! True Annatar, or I could, you know, finnish the games I have started and just be done with it and move on, but that'd be far far to simple a solution =P I fully appreciate how patch support is handled and see very good reasons as to why it is done that way, had a work around not been available to me, it would be of my own stubborness and I fully appreciate that aswell, just ask my wife about that stubborness...lol Anyways, thanks once again, the help is always a
heh, thanks once again Annatar, your help is always timely and appreciated, indeed the copy with entrenchment was/is the one attached to impulse and the update went as I had hoped and left my other out of sync patched copies alone as I had wanted, so I am now fully patched/updated on my Entrenchment game and hopelessly outdated on the other two copies, plus my original "original" Soase game at 1.0 ...lol, copies of copies indeed! While I love the ease of use and convien
Alright, so a little while ago I had asked how to install more than one copy of sins, and Annatar was gracious enough to explain it to me (you recieved Karma Annatar!) Now I was so pleased with this as I had my Original Sins with a massive game going on that I didnt have to lose because I was so keenly interested in trying out DANMANS mod, as I think we all know that mod runs on a much older version of Sins, which was where my dilemma came to be.
Excellent, thanks for the quick reply, And yes I did manage to clean out my archive which was why I couldn't find it, I do however have my archived Space Rangers 2, which helps me in no way at all but atleast I was able to track down the archive folders lol. A freshly archived version of Sins I suppose will be the 1.16 I imagine no? Add to that I'm not keen on uninstalling my current version of Sins as I've spent a good deal of time adding in my o
So, looking over the new release of Seven Deadly Sins I figured I'd give it a go this weekend. I have my current Sins updated to current version, 1.16? I know when I first bought Sins I downloaded it to "Archived" so I'd always have a clean version to re-install on a moments notice, here's the problem, for the life of me I can't find where the heck Impulse Archived my Sins download. Also, Is Sins even able to run both 1.05 and 1.16 on the
Indeed Varis, I've been messing around with some of the mods available, Sins Plus, Epic Mod, Distant Stars, Star Trek: Sacrifice of Angels, ect, and I have enjoyed each and every one of those mods as they all have there own areas of focus that seperate one from the other. While i've not tried my hand at modeling for Sins other than taking a quick look at the various files involved, I was sorta hoping to gain a free ride on someone elses work! [e digicons]O:)[/e]<
I was digging around the forums and googling the web for ship mods for Soase and in the end couldn't find what it was I was looking for. I was hoping to find some new ships and ship models to add into the game but couldn't find any stand alone ships downloads , I suppose one could just dissect one of the mods out there with new ship models in them but I'm not keen on that as the mod authors were probably hoping to see people actually use there mods not scavenge bits and
I don't know whether I should be over joyed or just flat out embarrased! lol Yes, that was exactly the issue....I spent 2 hours updating everything (which I suppose is a good thing! lol) Then in utter frusteration at my fancy new PC with the "uber" graphics card, pulled out my old 2400 Athlon E-machines to see if it would run there....(still had an older version loaded up on that machine) And low and behold, It all worked! I was cussing about the fact $399PC > $2000PC So I
Wow, not sure why that turned into a huge block of text, sorry! ~Snowman
Posted this in another thread but after closer inspection, seems our problems were not the same after all. Start up a game, everything goes fine, get to the game screen, and No Planet, No Ship, and no Anamoly Graphics, it does show icons though? Updated the Video Card Graphics Display Info Display device 1: Device Name: \\.\DISPLAY1 Card Name: Radeon X1300 Series Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc. Ugh, experiencing a very similar problem, though I have no Ship, Planet, or Anomoly graphics, something seems amiss with the whole my documents and settings thing...though I just don't know enough... I re-installed the game from a fully patched 1.12 to the original release, and still have tese errors, hope someone can shed some light on this, heres the de-bug ... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Debug Mes
.....Galciv II just finally hit my local EB store, they were supposed to have brought in 4 copies or so but only recieved 2, The poor kid dint even have time to get them all stocked in and I had laid down the cash for *both* copies and left 10 bucks (5 bucks a copy) for a deposit to purchase the other 2 copies when they eventually arrive, great games make great gifts! Had I seen this thread before hand, I woulda clicked a pic of me standing there looking over the kids shoulder while h
