The espionage is fun, but it doesn't seem possible to devote enough of my resources to it to get enough spies working. My agents last at most two or three turns and are then nullified, no matter what. This makes it impossible to get the increased level research, but those reports are so confusing they are not that much use to me anyways.

I agree with the strange embassies situation - that is definitely happening. Do the Thalans not have the option to upgrade embassies at some point? I just played a game where they stacked embassies on all their worlds, and somehow managed to hold off the Drengin, Korath, Torian, and Korx when I paid them to all declare war on Thala at the same time. Arcean Tournament in Beta Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I just played the Arcean Tournament on Challenging and had some problems with the AI. Or rather, the lack of it. Neither the Drengin or the Yor colonized any planets on the map outside of their original star system. The map was littered with anomolies, and they did not attempt to collect them. While the Drengin made an early move to an economic resource near them, when I took it away from them and left it undefended for about 50 turns they did not attack it. Also, t

Just a few Questions in Beta Reports GalCiv2 Forums

First off, looks good so far! I have one semi-major problem that I think plenty of people have mentioned, but there is some trouble introduced into the tech trading by giving everyone unique techs. I was able to trade for several techs that I shouldn't have gotten as humans, and could then build their buildings on my planet. Also, I could trade away techs to other races that they couldn't use, and they would give me useful things in return. My only question is about why

Mac Laptops running XP in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Hi! I've got a new macbook pro laptop running the intel chips, so I am able to boot windows xp on my mac laptop. My question is this: I'm already going to buy the TA pre-order so I can try out the beta on my gaming PC, but would it be a good idea to install that beta on a mac running windows? I'm a little worried that that might do something bad to my computer. What do you guys think?

First I'd say that the game is awesome - you guys did a fantastic job. My first gripe, which shouldn't be addressed probably so early in post-dev, is that the three factions all play too similarly for me. Maybe I haven't played enough, or I don't understand how they are that different... My advice would be to differentiate the ships in some larger way. Metaverse Rank Numbers in Metaverse GalCiv2 Forums

So, I've been recording games, but the scores are not adding up for me. How is the score determined? I've got three 35000 point games, and three that are lower score, and my score on the top is about 46000. Where is that number even coming from? How is that people that have a lower score than me have a higher rank?

I wish that when I selected a ship out of the ship viewer, it didn't then snap back to the top of the menu. I am looking for constructors, there they are, I click one and launch it from orbit, and now I have to scroll down again for each one. In bigger games, and I probably use too many starbases, its a real pain. If thats the case, which I bet would be because its a closer game on a harder difficulty, maybe there should be some kind of score modifier for playing on a harder level. Also - I got the one guy working but I still don't know what to do about the serial key problem I had with the other two.

But, I can't report with those characters because I input the wrong serial code. At least, I get an error message saying that. I got one working with the right code, so I can play with that one, but I had three or so and I got confused so I messed those two up.

Hello - I'm having trouble sending my game to the metaverse - I'm getting an error message about the serial key so I guess I'm using the wrong one. But now I've gone crazy and somehow I think I've got three different serial keys, and three characters of which I'm not sure which ones have which keys. How do I get these to match, or what do I need to do to report a game?
