While I was playing a game wih the latest beta (b4), my game crashed to desktop without any error message. When I went back into the game and tried to reload the latest autosave, it crashed to desktop again (still with no error.) I tried loading an older autosave, which worked, but the game crashed to dsktop again on approximately the same turn. I've zipped up the game file and included it with this post. Edit: tried rebooting, just in case. Still crashed while trying to load, but this time i

6). Unable to CANCEL ship building from the main star/planet map when clicking on a planet -> build ship -> select nothing. It acts like NOTHING isn't bound properly to "nothing". It will often randomly pick a ship to start building. I have to go to the planet screen -> shipyard and select nothing there. Quite annoying
When I hit "Upgrade", I almost always want the same ship I started with, only with the latest versions of whatever was on before. That's a good point - can you guys make it so that the upgrade button does exactly that? The exact same ship, but with the newest tech on it (space permitting, of course)?
So... you planning on telling the rest of us what you did? edit: ok, I found it - here's the quote: To get your medals to show up your post you need to go to the edit your character section on the metaverse page and select a default character.
warui is right, think about fleets too.. Maybe it might be a good idea to have two versions of ships, one with high defenses in Such and such Defense, the other in a different one. Then when you mix them in a fleet you add all that up. It doesn't exactly work that way - the fleet may have balanced numbers, but the ships themselves will still h
That could well be it - I'm almost certain that the planet was originally owned by someone else before I got it.
Like the title says, in the game that I'm playing (right now, actually, I just alt-tabbed out of it) I just culturally conquered a planet that had a re-education center on it. Now, I'm going for a culture victory, so my culture is pretty much kicking ass and taking names, but still - the text on the re-education center says right on it "prevents this planet from being taken culturally " and it's a super project, so just one per empire, so you'd hope it does what it says it does (and hope it does
I've got no idea what is a 'good' frequency for these things to come up, but I'm playing a lucky, universalist empire and I'm up to lucky ranger #5. I can't complain, really, since they really boost my military effectiveness (despite the fact that the ships are so slow - I mean, come on, who builds ships that can only move three spaces a turn?).
