Dark Avatar won't update in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I've bought the game from a retailer and put in the code on the back of the CD case in registration many times and yet I cannot get to the updates, it says something like cannot valididate registration, and when I go to update the game in stardock central it puts me right to the buy page, I've tried many things even reinstalling the game, but no luck. I don't know if i am the only one or what but if anyone has an idea on how to fix this problem feel free to post
