In response to a question above, my numbers are from the main map only. I haven't been watching the fights, and that obviously is a mistake based on what you all have been suggesting. It makes sense at this point to help find out what may be going on in a more granular way. Many thanks for the replies and insight. I appreciate it. I've done some searching on this, but haven't found much info that is helping me understand how the ship combat does the lose/win calculations. I checked the Event log and only have one error, but it's related to a time synching problem with the Windows clock. I have no other errors listed at all. I was hoping to get some insight on a frustrating problem with GalCiv 2. I recently purchased Twilight and decided to go back through the entire campain, starting with Dread Lords. I've had problems with hard locks in Dark Avatar and Twilight, but had no such problem in Dread Lords.
